  1. This, 100%. Chair is a very good player and they've really been improving as a team over the past two months. They're only in the relegation spots at the moment due to their horrific start to the season. They will be nowhere near the drop by May. Any hint of complacency and we're in for a rough game. Not that I think for a moment that Enzo would allow that.
  2. If anyone was wondering, the reason why Bournemouth fans didn't leave early is that the capacity of their shed is so small. There's more traffic created during school runs than their games.
  3. English refs are horrendous. So far behind European ones now, that it's embarrassing. Not so long ago it used to be the other way around.
  4. The Peter Kay "dad run".
  5. Coady's not only saved a goal but made a blinding pass - but Praet couldn't be asked....
  6. Being a Leicester fan = deep-seated trauma So yes. Our default position is worried.
  7. That feken "SWOOOOSH" effect on these red button games gets me every time. Happily reading through the comments here on my phone at half time, TV all silent. Then all of a sudden... Made me jump out of my skin. Doesn't help that I have the telly extra loud for football to "get in the mood" during games.
  8. If they do, he'll score. It's the #VardyRule Will be interesting to see how he then celebrates.
  9. Crikey. Lots of dross in that. On paper, we should be miles ahead by half time. Horrible 1-1 it is, then.
  10. I like it. Vards to score against "his" club.
  11. Love that this thread has now become one of self-reflection and Wundtian introspection. It gives us all hope.
  12. A great episode, lads. Every single City fan should listen to it. Especially the "0.01%". Confirms what most of us already knew. Didn't actually realise that Guillem had moved away from here! He used to run an over 40+ footie session on Friday afternoons a few years ago, so got to know him a little bit. Proper gent.
  13. First of all - why have you edited and changed what I actually wrote? Very odd. I didn't say "here". Secondly – I was stating facts and most certainly wasn't being ageist. If you go on City-related Facebook pages (such as Leicester Fan TV Chat) there are plenty of people there posting and moaning how we are "boring" and should be more direct, even calling for Enzo to go. When challenged, a huge proportion of the same people then mention how they have been "going for 40+ or 50+ years", which apparently means they know what they are talking about. So if anything, it is those people who are being ageist, using their older age to claim they know best (or at least better than someone younger than them). I don't take kindly to my words being edited. Nor being accused of being prejudiced towards anyone, or a group of people. Especially by someone who knows nothing about me.
  14. Go easy on the glue pal. Also, did you by any chance call TalkSport last night?
  15. Standard of refereeing across the EFL is atrocious, that's how.
  16. I've seen plenty of utter "gErRiT fOrWArd" and "bORinG" morons on City-related Facebook pages, who have been members of the pages for years. Which suggests we do have some proper weirdos amongst us. Quite a few of them are elderly men and women. I still hope the call was a Leeds fan on the windup, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that it was genuine.
  17. Yeah, yeah. He played well. But can he GerRiT fOrwArD!!!!
  18. How this should have been written: "Ex-Southampton manager, Harry Redknapp, thinks Southampton can still win the Championship this season. "Redknapp, a huge Arsenal as a child – and who has hated Leicester City ever since they 'stole' the Premier League title which was 'rightfully Arsenal's' in 2015-16 – would also love to see Leicester City stumble and give Leeds United a chance of finishing in the top two."
  19. McAteer was lucky there. On a positive, Mr Big Mac there becomes another villain to add to our list of players to boo. Why did he go after McAteer in the first place?
  20. I love watching the way we play. So measured and controlled, the way we look for chinks in the armour and also look to move the opposition in a certain way. Like chess. I'm sorry, but anyone saying this is boring should probably start following another club - or even better, a different sport.
  21. Knowing Rudkin, he sent the fvking paperwork to AC Milan.
  22. Don't tell George Elek. He'll cry.
  23. The penny has just dropped. Your name.... LADS, LADS – IT"S RUDKIN! IT'S RUDKIN!
  24. Let's be honest, the hard yards for the acquisitions of Vardy, Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, Fofana, Maddison were done by our scouting network. Steve Walsh played a huge role. Crucially, out of that group, only Fofana and Maddison had serious interest from clubs of our status at the time - and were promising the roles we did. So when it came to negotiating the deals, it didn't exactly require genius-level brain power. For Mahrez, Vardy and Kante coming to us was a step up at the time. For Drinkwater, a very welcomed fresh start. Getting the money we did for Fofana, Maddison, Barnes, Maguire, Mahrez, Chilwell and Drinkwater was great, undeniably. But again, for nearly each of those you can name a player who we let leave for free, who we could've received money for...Tielemans, Soyuncu, Amartey, Ayoze, Benkovic, Slimani, Soumare (contract ends this June). As we have failed to move any player surplus to requirements out in the past 8 months, it is also undeniable that we have an issue in negotiation deals. I appreciate that this window has been difficult with the well-documented PSR issues. But for us, the utter inability to get players out in time before their contracts end, or when we no longer need them, isn't a new thing.
