It's actually insane how dreadful we were. You can't replace James' output with nothing but 25 points in terms of an overall team and whole structure it's got to be one of the worst sides at this level in my lifetime. Pound for pound I'd be amazed if a poorer team has ever played at that level.

Said it on the foxes trust survey when answering about your feelings on the club but I feel a way about LCFC now that I thought was basically impossible. Like as somebody who went to probably 90% of our games home and away between 2008 and 2024 if they offered me a free season ticket for next season and an unban I'd seriously have no interest in it. That's a U-turn I didn't think was possible. I built way too much of my life around this thing and simply don't want any part of it in its current form. I'd like to think one day that this blows over, the ban expires, the club is run properly again and we can talk about it as a truly low point - almost how covid and lockdown was to general life (which I'd say being unable to go to football was one of the biggest losses for me at the time, by the way). But in its current guise it's just absolutely dreadful and what's annoying is it's so bad on the pitch that people just think it's because of that, when I'd say that's a symptom of the way the club has been run. We were talking about the potential aways next season - in normal circumstances I'd be all over Barnsley, Blackpool, Huddersfield, Peterborough etc.. away. I also consider what's happened to me, and you, and plenty of others before and after me and you, as symptoms of the dreadful ownership. It wouldn't have happened to us everywhere. I hear stories about clubs in genuine hardship and the fans pulling together to 'save' the club and yet I think the club has mistreated its supporters so egregiously that every one of them has every right to tell them to get ****ed. We're the worst club to support in England now - certainly in the 92 anyway. Wednesday's takeover has cemented this but even during this season, as helpless and miserable as its been for them, they've at least managed to acquire players who do their best. We can't even manage that. We actively reward players for not doing this and we have a sizeable number of fans with such a chip on their shoulder for not playing ball that they're willing to support the club, and the players for doing exactly this. Like how the actual **** do you fix that? I genuinely can't remember the last time I celebrated an LCFC goal and again - that was just totally unthinkable once upon a time.

Narborough Arms. I went to United away the day before, bizarrely ended up going out in Liverpool that night and staying in some hotel with no shower got home in a right state about 3pm. Remember watching Burnley beat Wigan to secure the Championship. Watched in the Narborough Arms, completely packed. Think I was stood on a seat of some form for the last 10 minutes. Ended up driving into town (specifically hadn't drank!), parking at local hero and going to the ground before onto town. Never got let into republic. Ended up drinking in the casino. Town itself on the night was actually quite crap I thought - hardly anywhere open. The Saturday made up for it though.

We will always, always get the worst result in the bigger picture. It's the same every time. Even by some miracle when we win a game it comes with caveats.
