It's just symptomatic of the complete drop in interest and standards at this club that Ward is still able to get competitive minutes. Zero ruthlessness at the club at any level.

How utterly League Two.

We're crap aren't we.

In fairness when they first went up to the Premier League their atmosphere was the best in the country comfortably. It's a fair point. I went to a couple of games of theirs a few years ago with a mate who supports them, Championship games against Swansea and Rotherham and honestly I've had this fear ever since that it's what we could become if we aren't careful, and I really do fear we're on the road to that to a degree. Though I do think our fanbase is quite substantially bigger than theirs so it can never quite dip to that - but anyone who was there last season will know what I mean. It's a depressing place for a home fan.

What do you miss from football as it used to be ?

Newcastle and Barnsley are great for this. -
Should've been Vinicius this year. Should've been Rodri the year before.

Non-league is good and I will never knock people who go to it but there's no chance it scratches the itch that I had growing up - like I say I think a lot of it was based on naivety. I went and watched Scarborough last week as I was up there for the week and I did genuinely quite enjoy it. It's not a slant on non league at all. -

Honestly really caring. I don't think it's any single one thing. It's a mix of games being dull, atmosphere being bad, ticket prices, VAR, the club's behaviour etc... I could name absolutely loads of things but maybe it's all just age and becoming wise to these things. Football fandom has definitely already peaked for me - although as a Leicester fan, this is bound to be the case. -
Leicester getting on it years after everyone would be very on brand tbf.

Nobody else is bad enough. There aren't three worse teams than us. One Wolves win and we'll be heavily odds on to drop again I think. We're doing exactly what we did last time - getting results at just the worst time to keep a bad manager in post which in the long run will relegate us. Just obviously happening.
-
He's awful. There is no need for him ever to be on. The tolerance of shit like Soumare is exactly why we've dipped as a club. Zero standards. Zero demands. Meanwhile Forest manage to shift their crap for good money and are able to buy better players off the back of it.
-
The three who came up will go down.
-
This again is a byproduct of what the club are 'really' after.

I just don't really see the point of this continuing. He's not very good and no matter what happens there is going to be a very negative undertone about the bloke. People will naturally pin this on being ex Forest, and I will concede that this isn't 100% irrelevant, but I think you could also aim similar at Puel in that nobody has any enthusiasm for a manager dumped recently by a club we've very recently been ahead of. That it's Forest is adding insult to injury. The circumstances since his appointment have changed as well, not at all down to anything he's done. The players are clearly not buying in and neither are the fans. Two wins in a row but all good will gone just like that. He's got too much to do for this to ever work out in the long run and I've seen very little actual ability either. We're terrible defensively, we don't create chances and our "scored in every game" stat is a complete anomaly due to very effective finishing. Not dissimilar to the latter Rodgers era. An extremely ill thought out appointment that had potential to go very wrong. Well done again Top & Rudkin - ****ing Forest fans singing our managers name as they wipe their arses with us at our place. Just what I always wanted.
-
We could've gotten him before Villa got there.
-
This is my fear. I'm sure he went into Sunderland quite fresh off the back of a pretty underwhelming time. Just feels a bit soon for him although at the same time, if we did appoint him I'd feel quite confident we'd stay up.
-
The fact they've appointed Cooper makes me think this is just a bit of a myth in truth.
-
And Coventry's atmosphere this season isn't even good - off the back of them being a bit rubbish, so all those years of wilderness wasted. It doesn't need us to be rubbish. I'm not sure we'll quite "cleanse" the ground as people hope. We just need some proper commitment from the club towards it and I mean a bit like what Southampton have done. I'm not saying St Marys is anything special but I'd imagine theirs will pick it up time.

Losing to Brighton at home on a Sunday 2pm hahahaha
-
There was way too much reliance last season on the promotion and pretty much nothing new has come this year. Even for Fatawu they're singing "straight back up" ffs. Seen a few posts saying that we need a few years in the wilderness to get things better. I used to think this but I don't agree. That's how you become Stoke. You need a club and fans committed to improving it. We have neither and I think it's a vicious cycle - we have this fanbase because it's what the club want. It's not going to change without drastic changes at the club.
-
Our hierarchy included.
-
Moyes was bad last season and he had definitely come to the end of the line at West Ham but he's still a very capable manager and really not dissimilar to Forest's Nuno appointment. Just wonder if he can really be arsed with it already. I'd take Conceicao or Schmidt.
-
Has this bloke had a good game for us outside of Russia? Why on earth is he still here?
-
You might be right but I can never have confidence in these absolute clowns to do the right thing. They have utterly sabotaged us from that ridiculous 2022/23 season - so much ground lost and we'll pay for it as long as they're here.
-
I've honestly no idea how people can look at that tonight and point the finger at the only block truly going for it. Where was the rest of the ground? Their end was annoyingly good this year. Probably their best here.
