  1. Pretty much what I thought really - the highest proportion of overall goals by a mile at a glance. 8 goals conceded in the last 10 minutes out of 22 overall is a massive proportion.
  2. Got to win. Obviously.
  3. It's a creation of the clubs doing over years and years. They've actively fought for this type of support.
  4. We must have the highest % of overall goals conceded in the last 10 minutes by an absolute mile.
  5. I'd normally agree as these things wind me up but I'm seriously impressed with them. It's the toughest relegated trio in years and they've kept pace with them post promotion from League One. They've got by a mile the weakest squad of the top four. I can't not be impressed by that.
  6. To be fair what he's doing with Ipswich is more impressive than anything Potter's done in English football.
  7. We are ruthlessly efficient against the weaker teams of this league but we are increasingly flaky in the genuine challenge games. I can't not be worried about that next season. You can't rely on superior quality every week when you... don't have superior quality.
  8. If we drop into the play-offs we'd not win them. I think by virtue of having the best squad in the division we are going to get promoted. But there are still a lot of bad habits with us. We are still brittle in the face of adversity and I'll believe otherwise when I'm presented with evidence.
  9. Still chokers aren't we. It's ominous.
  10. Seriously, we need to make singing always the victims it's never your fault at these a thing. They are Liverpool-lite.
  11. I've got decent money on us breaking the 106 points record so I'm very much converted on this. I have to admit though the Ndidi injury has wobbled me a bit.
  12. This is all true and it's good context to put it into but I do think with Ndidi's injury there is a chance we tail off slightly. Our record with him is 2.75 points a game (!!!) and our record without, admittedly only 7 games, is 1.43 points a game. I know there's more to it than that but I don't think it's a coincidence either. I did think this month would be hard though. Players unavailable and two of the worst fixtures we could've had. I think even if we do blow it tomorrow night we have a pretty good run of games in February.
  13. Nah if Coventry meet Southampton in the play-offs I'm going full profile pictures of Brussell and everything. I've no doubt he would fumble it though. I just cannot fathom how things have managed to shift me to a position where I almost want Leeds to get promoted. If there is a god it's Leicester, Ipswich and West Brom. But there's no way we can be that lucky.
  14. It is truly extraordinary isn't it? To think they may not play another top 4 team until April as well. The end is coming Brussell. @Ric Flair we all know how this ends don't we? Brussell is going to assist Coventry's promotion via the play-offs, via a bottling.
  15. @Sambiasso frequently hinted on here that the majority at the club wanted Rodgers out and knew it was over yet one person was stopping it happening. Top was the one we all assumed it was. But this tallies up with the bits of info we were getting on here and it was actually Rudkin all along. The fact Rudkin could stop it alone proves how bulletproof he is. He is as good as co-owner.
  16. They've somehow not got a game against a top four team from 30th September (game 9) to 16th March (game 38) and even that would move to April if either Leicester or Southampton got to the FA Cup quarter final, of which we're both in round 4 with winnable ties. It's pretty extraordinary. Think exactly the same of Martin. It's not bitterness, I rate the way he's turned around the dreadful start and I wouldn't have had him down as capable of a run like this, but it's all a bit Rodgers isn't it, Rodgers was also capable of some extraordinarily good runs and results yet his teams regularly fell to bits when the pressure was on. That isn't to say Southampton will definitely do this, but they just haven't proven yet that they won't. In fairness though - neither have we. I can't even imagine the mental damage it will do to us if we somehow contrive to not get promoted from here. Would firmly establish us as a choker club.
  17. For certain. If he can survive last season he can survive anything. He's essentially vice-owner.
  18. The big thing with Southampton is they still have to go away to us, Ipswich, Leeds and West Brom. They've become as effective as us at beating the lesser teams but they've had an extremely long run of playing them. We've not got a great record against the top sides yet but theirs is worse and they've played fewer of them. Jury is still out - although I do think the consistency at beating the weaker teams is probably why us and them will be the top two.
  19. have heard the exact same story. We had both him and a winger lined up and Rodgers / Congerton just wanted to do their own thing as they knew best.
  20. Tanner in the Athletic back in May; There were hints on here that there was somebody digging in their heels on getting Rodgers out the door and an assumption that it was Top. Turned out it was Rudkin all along.
  21. I'm not quite at the point of worrying but it is a bit annoying how few clear we actually are given our ridiculously high points tally. Whoever comes 3rd this season will be gutted.
  22. If those two are what we're relying on to stop Cov getting in the top six then god help us.
  23. I weirdly had something a bit similar - first game up in the top tier with Setubal I beat Braga away 0-6. I was just watching in amazement as we went 1, 2, 3... 0-5 up by half time. It turned out they played basically a reserve side. I don't know if it's got anything in common with your game there but I had it happen to me on the opening day as well.
  24. I don't put it down to one man. It's a collective effort. I put it down to the one above him more than I do him frankly. I would say overall we've spent more years going backwards than going forwards under him - it would be very generous to pin 2015/16 down to him at all. It's totally fair to class it as an error. It's a perfect sign of the lack of long-term and joined up thinking that's been at the heart of our decline. I actually don't even mind Souttar as a player, I think he's a very effective defender in a team playing a low-block system and he'd be fantastic for someone like Everton. But he's been ill-fitted for us from the start and it isn't his fault. If having a player signed who has made 12 league appearances for the club, is now on the screapheap and apparently we've now got to keep him and loan him out for five years as we're probably not going to get anyone to cough up £21mil to sign him isn't an error from the club I genuinely don't know what is. It's an error and it happened on Rudkin's watch. For a shortened version I blame Rodgers for his disgraceful conduct in the final 18 months of his tenure, Rudkin for digging his heels in and not acting upon it (these are Tanner's words) and Top for allowing all of this to fester. They're the main three culprits. Rudkin has too many black marks for me. Too much smoke without fire.
  25. Wheel of Names | Random name picker This is the wheel spinner. I've decided as a slightly niche, slightly insane idea to let the wheel decide where I'm going to. I've listed every country in Europe on there that I have never previously managed in to ensure I get a totally new league to do and one by one eliminated countries until I am left with my destination. I have repeated this process with both the league and then the club. The country is Sweden. The league is the Superettan, the second tier. The club is IK Brage. We move.
