Soumare is literally same shit different day. Man doesn't know what he's doing on or off the ball. Still as infuriating as ever. They seem to want it more and have the desire and urgency. Simple as that. We're tame, languid, lazy and slow. Relying on one or two players to do something. It's all well and good have BEK and Fatawu and Mavididi as part of an attack, but it means absolutely shit all with no help around them against a team now happy to sit back. Ayew has no one to play off when the ball is played into his feet. This could have been an 'easy' game but the application from the players has just made it unnecessarily harder. Get Soumare off, no need for 2 similar DMs anyway. Huge improvement needed not just this half but beyond. Can't play like this every week and expect results.

Got in with ease in C2 block. So did family. Only issue is the steward on the inside of the concourse a) looks like he's about to drop or B) is too busy hugging his mates so if there's any issues there's no one around to actually help

There's always one freak-ish result on the first day of the season. I didn't expect it to be at Bramall Lane! Pretty standard fare in the other games. Millwall beating Norwich away perhaps a bit of a surprise.

Not sure it does. Obvs would love to keep him but most know he doesn't want to be here and most also know he's too good for this league. I think we'll see him leave closer to the window closing, and just hope we get a decent fee again. And more to the point I hope we have adequate and suitable replacement(s) ready!
