Voted Rudkin as I only started supporting the club shortly after Pierpoint was around.

Didn't we reject pure profit for Thomas as well in January? -

Would cheap release clauses count? Kante comes to mind. As for expensive or wasteful signings/absurd contracts: Kapustka Golding Soumare on 80k? Vestergaard extension Ayew/Reid Cannon Perez Dishonest to managers - says there is money to spend, but managers haven't been able to all the time? If they don't know by now, or by then, I seriously worry for the nation

Indeed. Be funny if they bin off Carragher before then. And very much welcome.

Think they're about 50 short even before this Aus innings started. -
All of Liverpool's weekend games in April have been moved for Sky coverage on a Sunday. Similar to what they did for us in 2016 if I recall correctly.

Yep, equally stupid! -
Expected moves to be honest. Let's face it, they're not moved because of us. Especially the Liverpool game. They'll want to catch the opportunity to see them win the league.

Aus trying to sneak a cheeky wicket there once again. Smith withdrew the appeal though. -
I could say I don't care but it's not true. I care because this is my club and I hate to see it in the predicament it's in, through no fault of the fans. This is going to be another hammering though. We can't even beat defensively-minded teams or be competitive against them, so to come up against a Chelsea side that is attacking and free-flowing. Our defence just won't be able to cope. Palmer is on the worst run of his Chelsea career yet we'll allow him the freedom of West London to strut his stuff. They're defensively bad for a team in their league position but at no point will I have any faith we can threaten to score for a sustainable amount of time unless we change formation and start playing to strengths of our better players. But it'll be the standard 4-2-3-1, we'll half-heartedly press their goalkeeper and defence, porous in our own defence and our midfield will be sliced through like a knife through butter. Wouldn't surprise me to see another 4 goals shipped.

Why does he make heading the ball look so difficult It's like he struggles to use his body or get in the right positions to be physical against strikers. How he's been given a new contract is insane.
-
Probably being asked to do too much but at the same time he's exactly the player we need to be involved in the game. We play so cautiously, scared and defensively that he finds himself in positions just to get on the ball. Half the players don't believe he exists because they don't see the space he's in further up the pitch. So he gets the ball deeper and there's barely anyone to play off for us to work it up the pitch in a purposeful manner. We saw against Spurs what he can do and how fruitful he can be when he does get in the right positions further up the pitch. But we as a team don't seem to have any clue on how to approach different kinds of opposition to work that kind of space. We just stick to what Ruud knows and hope it works. Having said that, he was poor even going forward yesterday
-
Ironic considering only some of our players actually run. And even the ones that do it's pretty much without a purpose...
-
He's one player I won't aim much criticism at. Being player in a system that does him no favours. The service is crap to him. The support on and off the ball is bollocks. Him coming deep to knock it off to a centre mid only fvcking works if you have another midfield runner going into the space he's vacated. But we're so passive we just end up passing it around our defenders and midfielders who show no conviction at all when it comes to going forward.
-
Just pure crap all over the place. Everyone has lost confidence in themselves. No player is taking the game by the scruff of the neck. The manager is unable to find any alternatives to this shite formation. There's no cohesion. The basics aren't carried out with any kind of football ability. This is potentially the worst group of players we've ever had in the PL. They all looked totally devoid of passion, hunger, desire and confidence. Majority of them clearly don't want to be here. They've lost all manner of fight.
-
Got no brain when it comes to linking up with a winger. No forward thinking, unable to cross the ball, average defender at the very best.
-
Going down with a whimper. Players have given up. Ruud can't be arsed. Not one thing to even get excited about or feel like anything will change second half. Drab, dull, lacklustre, morbid. All understatements for tonight.
-
Another contender for 'worst half I've seen this season'. I expected nothing. And I'm still disappointed.

Followed by a player's 'we go again against Chelsea' and Ruud's 'we will react'... -
