Tories can't seriously be thinking of trying to call off an election?! Seeing tweets reporting that senior Tories want to oust Sunak before Thursday so an election is called off. Bizarre logic.
Then again, they've relied on unelected leaders for the past few years so guess they think it'll work again. Dread to think who they'd put up front of house after Sunak...
Atalanta were totally underestimated. Felt like a lot of the attention was on Alonso and the unbeaten Leverkusen. Rightly so to an extent but Atalanta had some quality results on the way too.
Tories (or any other party for that matter) shouldn't use this as an excuse though.
If there's a low turnout, it's hardly a ringing endorsement for them is it, that they can't get voters off their seats to vote for them...
On a serious note, when would this have actually been decided?
When would Sunak have gone to meet the King to request dissolution? Would Sunak have personally decided in the last few days, or within 24hrs etc?
