Seeing the title and before seeing the options, my first two thoughts were London 2012 Super Saturday (and not just because I was part of the medal ceremonies ) or England's World Cup cricket victory.
The first because it was athletes at the peak of their careers absolutely dominating after soaking up the atmosphere at various venues. The day just got better and better as it went on. It was phenomenal to watch, let alone be in the same place as some of the events that were part of it.
And the cricket because that is actually pure sporting drama. No one on this planet predicts that. Not one person plays that out in their mind before it happens. Not a chance. That's how incredible that was. And again, it was players feeding off the atmosphere in the ground. You could tell they sensed the occasion and fed off the energy. A proper moment that takes your breath away.
'you have to be on the same page to move forward'.
If that isn't a statement about the disconnect at the top down to the players and on-field matters, I don't know what is.
Ferdinand doesn't watch any other sport does he?
'no other sport can do this' when Mainoo scored the equaliser.
As if there haven't ever been dramatic moments in golf, cricket, tennis, rugby, F1 etc
Such a twat.
