I mean this in all seriousness, but it wouldn't surprise me if this ends up as another 4-0 loss, or even 5-0. We've been 'found out' far earlier than Martin would have ever expected. And it's so easy to play against us. Looking back, I thought the Plymouth game was a good performance. Now I think we were just fortunate their 20-min high press didn't work out for them. It's all teams have to do. Press high, and it pays off if you score first against us. Because that's pretty much job done for opposition who can just sit back and hit us on the counter. So predictable yet the one man who has control and ability to change it, won't do so. And that's as frustrating as the performances and the predicament we find ourselves in. Managers should not be as stubborn as he is. A Russell Martin team doesn't recover from a 4-0 loss straight away. Because he'll insist on playing the exact same way that got us there in the hope it works, not because there's any tangible reason it will. Same shit, different day.

Rudkin having less of a say is clearly making a difference. I think praise for the window is on ice for me currently. It depends how they bed in and what results are like on the pitch. Currently not sold on Cullen and Burns, latter especially. But the signs are there that we are making improvements. One of the better parts of the window is allowing youngsters to shine - Alves, Braybrooke, Page and Joseph staying are just as good as the best signing we make.

Love his energy. Reminds me a lot of KDH. Once he works on his final ball and awareness in final 3rd he'll be superb. Little pocket rocket isn't he.
