Thank you for mentioning Silko. I thought he did enough in pre-season to replace McAteer on the bench after we sold him.

The Falkirk fans love Cartwright! Hope Marti is keeping an eye on him. Cartwright was f**king immense today. What a baller. Absolute travesty he didn’t get MOTM. Cartwright looks like a baller. Love to see him get stuck in and use his physicality to hold off other players. Thought our other new signings made a decent impact too. The midfield was excellent though- Cartwright in particular was everywhere and his passing was brilliant. Cartwright my motm today, once again he was fantastic. Undroppable now Got to admit Cartwright is a unit, never shirked a challenge and made his presence known. no fear in him.

Marti has got the subs spot on this season

Ramsey played 1 game in pre season against Shrewsbury Town. There’s no way he’s fit enough to start games yet. Should have been eased back into games by coming off the bench.

He shouldn’t have been starting anyway. He only played 1 game in pre-season, it was obvious he wasn’t match fit. Really hope Page was unavailable, because if not then it’s poor from Marti to drop him for Ramsey. You could also play Ayew in the 10 role and Carranza or Daka upfront. Starting an unfit Ramsey was a poor decision.

Braybrooke has been solid from a defensive standpoint. He won 4 tackles and made 4 interceptions in the first half. He’s actually better defensively than say Hamza for example, because his footballing IQ is so good he’s usually in the right place at the right time. Just doesn’t look as flashy because he’s not going in with flying tackles everywhere.

I hope Silko Thomas keeps his place on the bench. He’s looked decent in his cameos, good work rate off the ball and is quick and direct.

Surely we don’t need 6 midfielders in the match day squad? Skipp, Soumare, James, Ramsey, Page, Winks and we’ll have Hamza who can play there as well.

He was absolutely everywhere. Covered every blade of grass, won tackles and interceptions but also, extremely neat and tidy on the ball. Taking it in tight spaces confidently and moving it quickly. Very accomplished shift he put in Gerrimin!

Low wages probably plays a part in the speed of the negotiations. Ipswich can easily match / improve his current wage. We’ve missed out on a few sales because the buying team simply can’t match our wages. Eg: Hamza and Sheffield.

Having your LB bomb forward when the LCB is Vestergaard is beyond daft. Preston did a good job exploiting the acres of space in behind our left flank.
