I blame Claude and Fons for this debacle, they have credit for the 50ov win and promotion however they have to be doing better than this. Poor decision after poor decision. Why on earth is Hull still playing? Where is Sol? What does Mike offer?

I would say it’s definitely a must win. 0/3 would give us a mountain to climb. As Kelly is more of an accumulator he needs to come in at 3 with Turner at 4. Idk why we’ve adopted the cautious approach to the batting power play because it’s definitely not working.

I can’t agree with Thomas’s take on the Durham game, “165 would of been par if we’d bowled well” It would of been upwards of 185 par I reckon, the same as the Worcestershire pitch. Slow and cautious in the power play is so negative and we will lose more games than we will win if we persist with this tactic. T20 is a simple form of the game it seems we are over complicating it. Ive stated before that i believe Thomas to be a bit of a control freak, so the buck stops with him imo.

Appalling start to the T20 tournament, how can we be so pedestrian batting? They look totally unprepared and now we are playing catch up again. Poor team selection, we need to be ruthless in this competition, no room for passengers. I do think Thomas is guilty of over thinking things and he makes a simple form of the game complicated. 2 awful performances with bat and ball, if there is a game plan it’s the wrong one.

The Championship was such a poor division this season, absolutely awful and somehow we managed to get relegated 🤣 what a complete shambles of a club.

Really poor times, Griff used to get bashed all over the ground every time he played.

The bowling short must have been a pre conceived plan with the coach, it really backfired. We were really off it in every department, hopefully bounce back tomorrow.

Dreadful memories of one game in particular which we were cruising and then Dearden and another batter whose name escapes me couldn’t hit it off the square, they were in for ages and lost us the game. Can someone name the other batter please?

Poor bowling particularly from Hull and a terrible batting power play ultimately cost us, you don’t finish a chase only 4 down and lose comfortably, that’s an appalling run chase. However it’s a long competition and we can bounce back next game.

It goes without saying that we need good starts when we bat and get some early wins under our belts,. The opening partnership is key and if Budinger gets going we can post some big scores. Ben Mike needs to be on top form with his bowling as he’s potentially the one who can be expensive. Our 2 overseas batsmen also need to win us some games. We don’t want another Hamish Rutherford 🤣
