If we continue with our possession based game and not creating chances/scoring enough goals we will find ourselves in another relegation battle. Im expecting another defeat today.

Just thinking how much poorer our squad is compared to the last time we were in League one, that team then would beat the current lot comfortably imo.

Even with approval from the ECB the pitch still has to be marked on its own merits, was there excess (excess is the key word) seam, spin or uneven bounce? The latter will probably be the issue. Unfortunately it’s all irrelevant that it was an exciting game with a result on the final day as the ECB marking system doesn’t actually take the whole game into account. It does leave us in a precarious position as if we get another BA mark in the next 12 months then we’re in trouble. The ECB will question if we prepared the best pitch possible.

Daft as it may seem but I have been thinking the same thing, nobody anywhere wanted Martin as the manager and yet we employed him despite it being glaringly obvious to everyone that it would be a mistake. The fans have made it quite clear that they’ve had enough of this boring possession based football for a few seasons now and yet here we are in Division One trying to bore opponents to death (as well as the fans)

I just don’t understand this signing at all, I have to admit I didn’t know too much about him however after a couple of games I’m wracking my brain to think what he actually offers as a player, lightweight, and slow, he needs to improve massively for us and actually show some ability before he gets condemned as just another waste of money.

The money he cost and the little impact he’s made, 100% he’s in the top 100 worst signings. My first game 1979 so I’ve seen a few. If he’d cost 2 million then you maybe could have a case.

Another 💩 signing, we just never learn. One mistake after another.

He was probably the worst choice they could have made and they went and did it anyway! Nobody wanted him and his style of play because we’d had a gut full of it, nobody but Rudkin whose obsession with possession has got us where we are today. The running of our club is absolutely scandalous and nobody is being held to account. Shameful.

Absolutely useless, we all knew it, only Top and Rudkin thought otherwise. We keep on sinking lower under these clowns.

It’s an embarrassment. The whole club is an embarrassment. Losing at home to Burton is everything we/they deserve. Nobody has done anything to stop our slide into the abyss. The Same people running things for years, this is the lowest ebb we’ve ever seen. The appointment of R Martin is the latest example of mismanagement by Top and Rudkin. We are not getting promoted this season with this style of football, mid table mediocrity if we’re lucky Absolute imposters of an ownership.

If we can somehow score another 120 plus it’ll put us in a good position, 220 should be enough on this.

Totally understand that. It’ll either be an above average or a below average, the latter can possibly have consequences over the next 12 months as I think if the club have 2 below average pitches over that period then it’s a possible point deduction as we have not prepared the best pitch we possibly could.

The Yorkshire pitch played far better than this one though, each pitch is marked by the referee by how it plays. I’m not sure what they will make of this one.

I hope the club isn’t going to get into trouble regarding the pitch.
