  1. It’s only chavvy if you go where the chavs are….these islands all have smaller quieter towns where there are very few English speakers; I’ve had some great holidays in the canaries away from the hustle and bustle and full English breakfasts 😂
  2. Oh the days!! Fantastic time and great memories
  3. I think they’ll be another signing, probably an all rounder
  4. Started and finished it yesterday, really enjoyed it, well acted and a moving storyline.
  5. Such sad news, he did an amazing job for many years and only retired last year. As you say both unsung heroes.
  6. One of Leicesters true legends, old school no nonsense player, I have many great memories of Walshie, obviously the silence of the rams but also the equaliser against Arsenal in the Bergkamp hat trick game, to name 2. He formed a formidable defensive partnership with Matt Elliott and both scored plenty of goals as well. Happy Birthday and thanks for the memories!
  7. Legend. Great memories and great times, loved that part of my life!
  8. Well historically yes but we haven’t been over the past decade.
  9. Fond memories of that time, Jock being the manager when I first went to Filbert St, football was so different back then, unrecognisable from the game we see today. I enjoyed the Milne period, top flight football and a fantastic front 3 of Lynex Lineker and A Smith, we always seemed to be a couple of players short of being a really good side something which the Shipman’s took a lot of stick for. As for signing Tom English, that didn’t work out well at all.
  10. We will probably become a yo-yo club, I’m not saying we’ll go down next season (if we’re up) however I think we’ll become one of them mid to lower table teams flirting with relegation each season with 40pts the goal.
  11. The BBC outing Sturgeon for deleting her covid WhatsApp messages when they themselves towed the party line and were in the government’s pockets through the whole of the epidemic. I cannot remember one program on the BBC which challenged the government’s policy, no panorama etc Rightly or wrongly both sides of the argument should of been allowed to be heard on our National government funded broadcaster.
  12. Love to see Man U and Chelsea struggling
  13. I preferred it when it was like this 😂 🚤
  14. Oh and my day has been 💩 seem to be having a lot of them of late, at least City winning cheers me up occasionally
  15. Had their noses well and truly put out by Man City, Utd are always striving to close the gap but they just can’t get it right 😀
  16. Evans a regular starter now, ridiculous!
  17. I know, felt bad after posting, apologies.
  18. It’s become my motto too. Im a little older and have been grafting for nearly 40years I’ve had enough as I believe that’s more than enough for anyone to have to work. So I go in, do what I have to do, try and avoid meetings and training etc basically just biding my time until I can afford to retire.
  19. As a motorist and a cyclist I can’t for the life of me understand the need to put huge concrete blocks (Middleton St, Aylestone Rd) to divide the cycle lane from the road, for want of a better word it’s overkill and completely unnecessary. I don’t think they’re particularly easy to see and expect a few cars will clip them. Plus it leaves nowhere to pull in and get out of the way of the emergency services. It’s all well and good trying to get people out of cars and onto bikes but our cycle lanes are rubbish, often ending abruptly and straight into traffic. We’ll never be like the Dutch where the cyclists are kings of the road.
  20. It’s really exciting to have such attacking wingers having spent years it seems struggling to find at least 1. Lookman was decent but now we have Fatawu and Mavididi, who play with flair plus Mcateer who has come on leaps and bounds this season, and then there is Akgun whom I feel will grow in confidence and will be really useful as the season progresses. Exciting players and exciting times!
  21. Completely agree regarding Mavididi I reckon he’ll be a regular scorer soon, a little more composure and he’ll be finishing many more of the numerous chances he has, great addition to the squad and it’s great to see us playing with wingers who actually create and cause the opposition problems
  22. It’s this sort of post that I find so tiresome, just enjoy the moment. Before you search I have posted nothing about the Winks signing so I have no strange attitude. One upmanship when we’re doing well is needless, what I do agree with you is that they need a spanking next Friday 🦊
