As I don't drink and no one ever did the pub thing from when I turned 15 18, the TV is usually on in the background most of the day up until King's Speech then it's usually off as then all the shite came on such as what felt like 8 hours of Strictly and Call the Midwife. BBC1 phoning it in this year by sticking the Gavin and Stacey finale on again on Christmas Eve too just shows they know no one is watching any more. BBC2 seems like it was just designed to be put on in the care home whilst the staff have a few in the back. 1968 Christmas episode of Dad's Army and the 1975 Morcambe and Wise specials really must be close to the end of their shelf life.
