  1. Daft Punk not being given a nod but Gojira getting a full song and a whole building to themselves to perform on is an interesting choice for sure.
  2. A protest that disrupts anything in France will be the French. They had a site figuring out the flow of the Sienne and what time to take a dump so your poop reached Paris at the same time an MP was doing a PR event of them swimming in the river and riots at the drop of a hat, it's 100% the French. It's a case of hear hoofbeats, think horses not zebra's in this case.
  3. Of course, they did, now those solicitors are saying the victim has a brain cyst. https://news.sky.com/story/man-stamped-on-by-greater-manchester-police-officer-has-cyst-on-brain-lawyer-says-13184813
  4. I suspect that is on purpose. However it is also possible that the numbers in them high priority brackets diminishes over time, meaning that new ST holders won't be able to catch up over a few seasons but the wastage of P1 and and away priority scheme and then the numbers not being able to be replenished would trickle more tickets into P2 and P3. ...it made sense in my head, ok!?
  5. BBC seem ready for the usual "where is all the coverage you had before?" They sort of got away with this in Rio and Japan due to time differences, but now it will be very clear that the IOC sold the rights to Warner Brothers Discovery in 2015. https://www.bbc.com/sport/articles/cjk3vkpxz1po https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/articles/c0krn1k4wlzo So if you want to select your sport, you will need Discovery+. If you just want to watch 2 of the main things happening at the games at any time, BBC will cover it.
  6. I was surprised to see he was on £50k a week!
  7. By fluke. Hit a couple of portals in a row and ending up at Redahns arena. Took 3 or 4 goes to get him down. I don't mind that battle as if you keep them summons up it helps a lot when you are a near 80 int build like I like to play.
  8. It is when the French people were plotting and sharing what time to go for a shite in the river so they can ensure it was floating nearby when they did jump in. The French are a different breed.
  9. Ward in goal? They would have to pay me a tenner to watch him...
  10. It took me too long to get this... I was sat her going "who thought naming their app Vestergard was a good idea?"
  11. We will still have over 30k in the stadium first game of the season. Until they do something to p off a lot more people, anyone dissenting will be the minority. We all swallowed it up and bought them cards begrudgingly, to which the club claim it went to charity but now haven't told anyone if it did or if the trust has donated money anywhere. Enough people will buy the stream to justify it, because it's easier than getting ads running on your stream apparently. Even sticking it on Twitch, kick or YouTube live would work, but too much like hard work. UFS called for a boycott of club services wherepossible, but that just pissed off the Facebook nutters who say we just should be grateful because we won the prem. Foxes Trust do some statements, but I will not speak much on them until after that emergency meeting has been planned and completed. Upped the point requirements for tickets for members, will not make a general sale/booking history option this season for sure. So take revenue one way and throw it away in others.
  12. I like it, but won't be buying it for many reasons
  13. That is the demographic they are aiming for. There are people of that ilk who will pay £10 to spite someone who refuses to pay it. FB is full of as many lunatics as Twitter but the age range is in the late 30s to 70s.
  14. I took a hit on the credit rating but used the whole 7 years to become debt indepenant. They sold the debts to debt collectors, but as you say you can keep paying what you agreed before and swerve the reviews. Even after 30 minutes of giving them the income and outgoings they will say "you should be able to afford xxx a month now to repay" you can just say you want to stay at what you were at and they have to accept it as long as it's reasonable, and since you were already paying a certain amount, it's reasonable to accept you will keep paying it. I now have 1 Credit Card that I use to put all my subscriptions on and then pay it off in full at the end of the month to boost the credit score a bit. Also helps me see how much I am paying a month in total for streaming services
  15. A few other places to try: https://capuk.org/get-help/cap-debt-help - They are called Christians against Poverty, but they don't try and push religion on you. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/debt-help-plan/ - This guy literally saved my skin. http://www.nationaldebtline.org/
  16. I once nearly went under when I had 2 credit cards maxxed out and Stepchange recommended banrkupcy. Instead I called both CC companies and said I couldn't pay. They hit me with a default, went through everything with me (income, outgoings etc) and agreed a new payment plan. I had one at a tenner a month on a £16k debt at the time. 7 year default saved bankruptcy. Talking to Stepchange is always a good option. My advice from being in this situation before: 1. make a list of debts in interest order (highest first). When you can pay stuff back, focus on paying off the debt with the highest interest or what will be the highest interest once an offer expires. 2. If you have car finance or whatever, get the car sold, pay off the finance and find a run around you can pay for outright. Not always possible I know, but if possible, it gets rid of what may be a large monthly repayment. 3. Reach out and talk to people like you have. I commend you for it. 4. Don't feel bad or guilty about any of it. You are doing the right thing in talking to people and sometimes these things can't be helped. 5. Look at MoneySavingExpert, I used a lot of his Boost your income recommendations. None will clear your problems overnight, but some may get a few extra quid in. 6. I told my employer about it, but I know that may not be a good move in some cases. 7. Write everything down, income and outgoings and check your DD's and Standing Orders for stuff you may not realise you are still paying for. I was paying for shit like cats protection and political party memberships when I went through mine that I didn't even know I was paying. I am happy to help you with things like that, even down to switching electric/gas companies to get a cheaper deal, same with Internet etc. Heck, I would share Netflix with you if it helped in some way. Keep talking. That was the best thing you could have done.
  17. If true, Obama not endorsing Biden is the nail in the coffin. I do believe Biden was going to withdraw this week but couldn't after the Trump shooting. It seems not coincidental he does an interview saying he would only pull out if he got seriously ill, then be struck down with COVID hours later. https://news.sky.com/story/trump-shooting-assassination-attempt-biden-latest-live-sky-news-blog-13177655?postid=7990307#liveblog-body My landlord lives in the US and if Trump wins I am almost certain he will either come back and want his house back or try and sell this place, if his friend who does the repairs to the house is to be believed. I have never been such an avid follower of US politicos.
  18. I love this sent me down a rabbit hole to which I found this whole thing has it's own Wikipedia page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birth_aboard_aircraft_and_ships
  19. Not really. My wife could be on a flight to Egypt and her waters break. You are the nationality of the first country you land in. I am English and my wife is half Irish but our kid would now be Egyptian technically. Patriotism isn't usually a love of a stretch of land or what defines your life. It is where you are raised that defines it. Personally I think patriotism is just basically the influence of religion and politics more than a love of whats within your borders. A lot of the "patriots" you meet around the world will have an undercurrent of religion or political lean.
  20. The Republican Manifesto seems be not landing well with some undecided US voters, especially around the free market and national debt. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/15/business/economy/trump-economy-rnc-policy-free-market.html It also seems he has not got the bounce in the polls expected after his assassination attempt on Saturday. Still seems to be Biden needs replacing and whoever comes in needs to take Trump head on. BIden is the millstone of the Democrats at the moment and needs to put the pride aside and accept his is 1 term president and let someone like Harris take a shot.
  21. https://ticket-compare.com/premier-league-away-ticket-allocations/#:~:text=The away allocation in the,the seats in the stadium. "home clubs must offer the visiting team a minimum of 3,000 tickets if their capacity exceeds 30,000. If their capacity is lower, the minimum away allocation in the Premier League must be 10% of the seats in the stadium." If it is down to redevelopment, they will still have to find 1,307 ish tickets for away fans, even if it means moving home ST holders for the game. They don't think it will be ready until 2027. They will have to have a long term plan and are really gambling they don't have a bad season and get relegated like some other clubs who announced stadium expansions and then fell down a league
