Southampton 5-0 post match mutual touching frisky party
ramboacdc replied to Daggers's topic in Leicester City Forum
I am starting to get quietly confident we may finish in the top 2 lads.... -
He found his way back into my bad books soon after.

I await Southampton tweeting at half time that the ref is a West Brom fan an it isn't fair. No, sorry, only idiots would tweet something like that...

Stop the LCFC Loyalty Tax - UFS statement
ramboacdc replied to Union FS's topic in Leicester City Forum
As many people have said though, if you don't apply for the card, the win and more people are pushed to digital, if you do buy it they get £25. Got the fans by the short and curleys again as usual. -
At what point does that break some rules? That starts to go down the lines of corruption surely or something just as sinister. "Ring your old boss will ya and drop a few hints and have a quiet word." That's just wrong.

I have always liked Boro...I don't think I have said that enough. I wish them well... Was that sincere enough? Because I bloody hate Leeds fans. Would love to see them in the playoffs instead of us and Ipswich.

Clattenburg is happy to take the money from Forest and all but throws his former colleagues under the bus: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11727/13120581/gary-neville-mark-clattenburg-should-step-down-after-forest-statement Is the standard of refereeing poor? Yes Is VAR not fit for purpose in its current state? Yes Does that justify Forest throwing their toys out of the pram just because it inconvenienced them? No VAR will never make everyone happy. Cov yesterday will argue he was onside because it's BS his feet were larger than the defenders, if it had gone the other way United would have been complaining. It's separating football to millimetres which is rubbish, but you are now just giving fans something else to beat referees with. Teams benefit from VAR and lose out to VAR. Forest were happy when it got them promoted when the call went wrong at the playoff final, but now throw a tantrum when it doesn't. Liverpool fans are good at claiming that too, then again in regards to football match-related incidents, Liverpool fans will always claim they get the s**t end of the stick, but that is a case of who moans loudest in my opinion. This boils down to one thing, Forest through money at the wall with an owner with such a controversial past, has a topic and 2 sub-topics around his controversies on his Wikipedia page. He has chased refs down tunnels and shows he is not fit for purpose. Say what you want about KP and Top, but you never see him threatening to take out a ref in the tunnel. If Forest go down, that owner will take his remaining money and run and Forest will suffer for it. They will lose millions in revenue and would instead throw more money into litigation than take the licks and go back to putting that money into coming back better. They are losing millions now, hence the point deductions, but what is Mark Clattenburg on the payroll for? To consult the manager about the ref's decisions? He isn't reffing the games, cannot change the results and can do bugger all but go "Tell you what Nuno, that red card would have been a yellow in my eyes. You should appeal." Everyone at Forest is getting rich off this Premier League ride and wants it to continue by throwing tantrums and statement's hoping to cause furore. If they get relegated, all those rats will leave the sinking ship and it will be the fans who pay the price. Long story short: VAR, Clattenburg and that dodgy Forest owner can get in the sea.

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)
ramboacdc replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
First time in a while I had to run 3k constantly. Not the best of times at 26 minutes for 3k, but got it done. The next part of my training looks like it will be a B*****d. 1km warm up 30 seconds rest 400m at an increased pace rest 90 seconds repeat x6 1km warm down. It makes sense, as it is trying to push that anerobic level down to an aerobic level, but I am not looking forward to Wednesday morning! haha. I prefer the slower and easier runs of a Friday! -

2024/25 Season Tickets: Renewal Dates & Prices Confirmed
ramboacdc replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Leicester City Forum
They know you will all pay it, if you want to do it the old way you will pay the premium for it and they will hide behind it being better for the environment because less plastic. If you dont pony up, someone else will at more money than you, and I believe someone told me we now have a waiting list for Season Tickets, so they can literally do and say what they want and know they will sell the seat. It's awful, but it's how it will work. If you want change, it needs to be a rally all sort of call and protest. If 400 people protest and say they aint paying £25 or renewing it will do naff all. I don't have the answers, but the club are hemorrhaging money and will do these sort of things to plug the gap before their next financial c**k up and will do anything to keep stuff ticking, including bleeding the fans dry. I bet the salaries at the top are increased above inflation though eh? -

There is a way to do it, but no one wants to be the one to publicly post it, get sliding into DM's and I bet you find an answer -

They shouldn't have to is the point, not that people who don't work day to day with tech don't know how to circumvent the system. Unless you are going to share with the class how to do it, this just comes off as a pointless gloat that you understand NFC's better than someone who doesn't. -
I am for the ban, but the tax gap will be large unless they increase it on vapes/alcohol/a decriminalised substance. The clientele may be dying but it's still a lot of tax. The next problem will be finding something to do with all the single use vapes that people are binning with all the batteries and alike in them. They are better for you but we need to shake off the need for nicotine in the country in total, otherwise you replace smokers with them idiots who look like steam trains but the smoke smells of mango.

I am shite at Football Manager games but even I know that when the clubs have scouted out your tactics and are panning you week in, week out, have a plan B... This is starting to feel like we are doing this on purpose...

My daughter has really started following us a lot closer this season. She just said she can't believe this and is shouting at the TV. I am sorta proud, but I got to tell her that if she wants to follow Leicester from now on well...

Is this the most stressful season as a Leicester fan ?
ramboacdc replied to marcymarc666's topic in Leicester City Forum
There have been some wilderness in the Championship years I can think of. Too bad to be relegated but not good enough to push for play offs. Well boy we soon set that record straight and went a lovely visit to League 1. -

Recently got back into running now winter has gone and getting up at 6am to do a pre work run doesn't feel like hell on earth in the dark. Got an app called Runna that is helping me with a reintroduction programme. It seems very good as I am already going further than I used to. The plans are good but the only drawback is it costs £15 a month. I am using that as incentive to make sure I get up and bloody use it though. Got one of them free month links if anyone did want to try it. Said I beat my 2 mile PB today, but I know there was still walking involved in the session so I hope to smash it again once I am back at being able to run constantly for 2 miles. -
When are the play off semi's? I need to order the 4 slice toaster ready for the bath that night.

Were these the marathons he did for one of Vichai's charities? He lives around here so I have seen him a few times and had some interaction with him on the cesspool that is Twitter in my time. Seems like a nice enough guy in my eyes. If he is being put through the ringer or lost his job because he worked for the BBC and accepted a pair of trainers from a company that wanted to help sponsor him, I struggle to see the issue. BBC platform aside, Twitter has since been deemed almost a level playing field after the Lineker incident last season. It's not like he went "thanks to Under Armour for giving x amount and providing me with these new supersharkydoodle F90's, Out tomorrow and available from Sports Direct for £89.99. Use Promo Code "GRIFT" for 30% off your first order."
