If Daka isn’t already being rested for Boxing Day he probably should be watching this!
-
Must be so frustrating watching Dan James every week, very much a smaller Traore at times. Edit: just checked, he’s got 7 in 20. What do I know!
-
Anyone know if Ipswich have rotated many? If I were their manager I’d rather get a result today than Boxing Day so just interested.
-
Great points… tenner on Rotherham it is! Annoyingly missing the game with the flu, think I’ll avoid the match day thread either way.

Actually my friend from school, Lee Quincey, had a couple (or one, can’t remember now) of years as a pro having come through the youth team. Didn’t make a first time appearance though but think it counts!

Didn’t realise he was out for up to 8 games as well for the Asian Cup (which I’ve never heard of tbh!) https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leicester-city-defender-could-miss-8993303

Tbh if he went and we went into the second half of the season with Vardy, Daka and Cannon up front I’d be happy. Out of every player he’s the one who has underperformed the most vs expectations. There’s been some good signing (Mads, Winks, Mavididi, Fatawu), some players have risen to the challenge (Vesty, Ndidi, McAteer) and some have underperformed, and of these Nacho has been the worst for me.

And Dion Dublin and Jason Jarrett!

What would people expect the fee to be? £10m? Or probably Undisclosed!

Septimus Smith!

Just a bit of fun (/pass the time) for anyone who is "working" in these last few days in the run up to Christmas. Name a current or former LCFC player for every letter of the alphabet. 1pt for the surname (e.g. Yuki Abe), 2pts for a double name (e.g. Ade Akinbiyi) and rep points for a player who has played a significant part in our history (i.e. Andy King > Radishan Kishishev) or holds an obscure record (e.g. Joe Dodoo was top scorer in the league cup in our title winning season!). And try and avoid the temptation to just Google it, you're only cheating yourself! Did it with a friend on the walk to the match the other day and there was only two letters we couldn't do (but have since thought of one of them)...

Exactly, and I assume it's Daka who has come short to take the ball from Winks and that's one of their CBs just in shot who has tracked him. Before they know it they have their full backs and 1 CB trying to pick up our 2 wingers and 2 8s.

Felt like Birmingham played into our hands a bit last night. They kept pushing their front 6 forward and it took one good ball from defence to midfield and we had an overload on e.g. Made for an entertaining game, but just highlighted the tactical gulf between a Rooney and an Enzo.
-
I put Cannon. Not because I necessarily think he is, but if he does turn out to be amazing I can bring this up in 3-4yrs and be really smug that I spotted something nobody else had.

Given Doyle started most (all?) games when he was fit and Enzo publicly said he preferred a left footer in JJs current position, I think it’s fair to say he thinks we’re better with Doyle! Feel like JJ might have to leave eventually for a club who play a natural full back. Hard to say what impact injuries have had on him, but he doesn’t appear to have a natural place in our starting XI. Which is a shame really as he’s a good player.

Birmingham City (A) 2-3 Leicester - Post-Match Thread
brookfox replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
Average of 2.5pts per game is madness! Pretty sure if you gave Enzo some water you’d have a cracking piss up 🍷 -
Started working with a Brum fan during lockdown. Met him a fair few times on Teams and he seemed ok… until I met him in the office. Normal sized head, normal sized shoulders and chest, massive pot belly. Very Pulp Fiction and it really threw me. For that reason alone I hope we thrash them!

Leicester 'set to become one of UK's top stag do locations'

I felt semi proud until I saw the other places on the list! -
Aren’t they essentially the same thing? Plan A was to create an overload with our attacking five vs their back four. As Enzo said they played with a back five which nullified us so our Plan B was to attack with a six to create the overload. Essentially the same but responding to the opposition. It was like against Plymouth when going a bit longer had some joy. Normally it wouldn’t work but Plymouth played a very high line (which was either naïve or just stupid btw!) so it was a tactic that worked. Feels like we have a set Plan A and footballing philosophy but Enzo is savvy enough to tweak match tactics based on the opposition line up. Increasingly of the opinion the guys a footballing guru!

One thing about Cannon, he’s bigger than I thought he’d be! Tallish but looks like he has a bit of a physical presence about him. Early days and clearly not match sharp but looks like he’s decent at most things (pace, touch, pressing, shooting, movement) without having any immediately obvious standout qualities.

Would love to know whose decision it was to sub off their #3 at HT, the manager… or the player! First half alone probably got him MotM, absolutely tormented their left hand side. Was intrigued to see how a few, let’s say robust, challenges impacted him but he kept going. Not sure who scouted him but bravo!!

Glad it wasn’t Uncle’d for!
-
I reckon Top could take all of them except Uriah Rennie (he did kickboxing) and Collina (he’d definitely come tooled up and be prepared to bite/eye gouge).

Risky signing a Bogarde, you Winston you lose some.
