  1. It’s dead easy. Just do what you’re doing now but start every video with “Hi guys, it’s your boy StriderHiryu here” then 30s in pause and go “5 second like and subscribe challenge. 5… 4… 3 etc”. Millionaire in a year!
  2. Casual Engagement Assistant sounds like a piss easy job. Even the “Head of” just does casual engagement, you just have to assist them in that vague task. Wonder if it’s buying Stone Island for the BS or arranging their meets.
  3. Heard the phrase “given the ball away” a fair few times tonight!
  4. He’s only made 53 league appearances. Feels like someone has gone 2+2=£5m!
  5. Surely this proves the Daka £5m fee just isn’t true. Can’t imagine there’s any chance at all we’d pay that for a cup sun appearance.
  6. As he was lining up to take the penalty they started chanting about his wife (the usual one!). Up steps Vardy, scores the penalty (an unsaveable one btw), ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the away fans, cupping the ears etc., pointed to Pearson and did a mock hobble. Game continued at 1-0 with the home fans correctly pointing out the Jamie Vardy has won more than them!
  7. Would have been a shame to lose him for nothing next summer, and I wonder if the 4yr is actually more beneficial than a 2-3yr from an FFP perspective. Assuming his wages aren't too high he's a good asset to the squad. Main thing that surprises me is that Enzo has taken a shine to him! He always had a good engine on him but seemed to have limited footballing brain/technique to take a ball under pressure, be aware of his surroundings and ping it off at pace. Given that he's now 2nd choice by all accounts for Winks position he must have worked hard on that part of his game so fair play to him. Wonder who else we might be in negotiations with...Vesty? Ndidi? Kelechi?
  8. We play 46 league games?
  9. Sad reality is we have 46 other games this season that are more important than this one in the grand scheme of the club. Obviously success breeds success, it'd be good for confidence, bit of cash in the bacn etc if we do win... but tbh I'm not too bothered if we lose. I suspect Enzos team selection will reflect a similar view. Like others have said no injuries is key and losing by no more than 2 would be nice.
  10. Have to say I’m quite enjoying being out the media spotlight a bit. In the Prem the pre and post match build up meant it was all hyped up a bit too much. Now I quite happily turn up, watch the match and go home!
  11. Having stormed it vs Bristol he’s now being eyed up as a free transfer by Barca (according to a probably sketchy source). Stranger things have happened… https://barcanewsnetwork.com/barcelona-eyeing-26-year-old-leicester-city-midfielder-to-sign-as-a-free-agent/
  12. It’s not that bad. We’ve got FFP which apparently stops rich clubs like Chelsea spending £1bn on players and still hitting fair play guidelines. Not that it’s helped them mind 😆
  13. Fair play to the club, it's a special moment for any parent/guardian taking their kid to the first match, so nice they're trying to put a cherry on a cake. Could it be better, maybe... but I'll park my cynicism! Agreed, sod taking a 2 year old! Took my son to his first match when he was 5 vs Crystal Nugantis as he called them (Palace). We lost 1-0. He thought Nugantis were amazing. It cost me a fortune in a) sweets/donuts and b) data on my phone to keep him there for the 90 mins. He liked it. I loved it! Been a lifelong fan ever since. Until he turned to rugby at 14 and broke his old mans heart
  14. Tbf, when we put 9 past Southampton our scouts put Vesty and Bertrand down as “7.5/10… potential signings 🤔”
  15. One thing that’s impressed me is how two footed he seems to be. Inverted wingers can sometimes get a bit predictable as they always want to cut in and shoot. This guy seems equally as happy going outside and putting a cross in with his right. Really looking forward to seeing how he develops this season!
  16. We won the league with Kante as the 11th outfield player, and now we’ve got this guy!
  17. Japanese tourists already suffering from Bristol Syndrome!
  18. The signings have been good enough that I don’t remotely miss a single player who left us in the summer.
  19. I’m going to clap them before kick off and the same after the final whistle, and hold them in utter contempt for the period in between!
  20. I’ve got two challenges with it. Firstly I still think there’s an element of subjectivity based on which frame they freeze it at, how the lines are drawn, the angle the camera takes the shots from. You get it now where pundits still debate decisions so it’s not as black and white as say Hawkeye for goal lines. Secondly it seems to be the offside decisions which take the longest so lend themselves to the poorest in stadium experience. So personally I’d ditch the lines, go back to clear and obvious errors and cap decisions at 30s.
  21. I tell you how I know for a fact it was onside... the goal was given and we won 2-0. Would VAR have got the set squares out and deemed the tip of his old man ahead of the ball at the precise moment it left KDHs boot, who knows. But personally I hate the use of VAR in this instance anyway as it's not a clear and obvious error.
  22. It's one of those sporting achievements I just can't imagine will ever be replicated. It was staggering enough we won the league (5000/1) but do it with a player who had also won L1 with us is quite the achievement.
  23. Interesting comments from Enzo about him getting the captaincy. Basically said he'd challenged him to step up and be a leader and no longer an academy product who plays for the first team. I don't think given his pedigree there were doubts about Enzo's capability as a coach or as a tactician, it was all down to his man management and if he could take that step from Peps #2 to the gaffer himself. Little things like this suggest he might just be destined for the top. As for Hamza, really pleased for him. Another player that Enzo has taken a shine to and got him looking more than competent.
  24. Think he's surprised a lot of people with his performances and good for him! I saw him at Wimbledon last year, came off the bench and looked ok-ish for that division but certainly not capable of what he's been doing for us this season. Seems like Enzo has come in and it's just clicked for him. Funny how things work out, different manager and we'd probably been looking at a few hundred grand and a move to L1/2 for him. As it is he's starting, playing with a smile on his face and putting in goals and assists in the Championship!
