  1. That's absolutely fair, and I'm sure he will work on that. In the meantime, his defenders need to be aware of that, and compensate accordingly.
  2. Same. Saying nothing would have been better than this statement. The alleged chants sound vile, so don't give them oxygen. If this is the only thing they respond to after almost constant silence, what message does this statement send?
  3. If the chant others have quoted in this thread is what was sung, that's horrible. Wishing death on anyone is awful. However, as others have also pointed out, there's no real acknowledgement here (as ever) from the club as to why this might be being sung. There are plenty of twats in our fan base and at games, but to my knowledge, this is the first time this has been sung. Surely that speaks to the frustration in the fan base? I mean even acknowledging supporter frustration and anger while condemning the chants would have showed some awareness. This just reads as "some people want to kill our DoF". Stupid from those fans who sang it, but tone deaf from the club for not acknowledging—even for a second—why things have got to this point of extremity. And I think people are right: This will probably make it worse.
  4. Which supporters groups have come out and said anything...? And what on earth was sung that's got the club's knickers in a twist? I thought it was that Rudkin out related.
  5. He got flack last season because he wasn't good enough for the PL any more. And Cooper kept playing him on the wing. After overcoming an injury, he looks much fitter this season, and is one I can genuinely see as being good enough at this level. Fingers crossed he can keep making the kind of impact he made today, and we'll start thinking of him a bit more fondly. He's not an Ayew (who is hard to like because he prevents us using an actual CF), and Skipp (who was never good enough for his price tag, and now it's a millstone considering he should be a squad player at best). Well done today Bobby, very pleased for him.
  6. The fact he keeps playing Ayew as a starter is unfathomable. Playing JJ as a 10 doesn't get the best out of him. There was, once again, little evidence of that pressing and attacking he promised us when he got here. He needs to go, this result sadly changes nothing.
  7. He cares. He really ****ing cares, you can tell. We need more JJs. And please let that be the end of him being shoehorned into the #10 role. He is clearly a skillful player, but he is so much better as an #8, crashing the box and being EVERYWHERE. Such a shame Ramsey is out until probably the New Year. With time I feel like those two will hugely benefit each other, especially with Winks as the conductor.
  8. Ayew really doesn't offer anything for the team does he. Sigh. You can tell we're the two worst teams in terms of form.
  9. I agree with all of this, but we played a completely different style. We played like he promised we would: Front foot, pressing in packs, attacking. Regardless of the quality of opposition, we've not seen that since. It makes zero sense.
  10. Awful. What a ridiculous way to concede. I don't like overly trashing our players, but I really do have an irrational dislike for Ayew. I know he scored, but watching him infuriates me.
  11. Enough is enough. He's got to go.
  12. Unforgivable.
  13. You're perfectly right to state all these facts, and you're right, we need to keep these in mind. My concern is they we have yet to put in a single full decent 45 minutes this season, let alone 90 minutes. And we seem to be getting worse, game by game. I'm not sure how we stop that rot between now and January.
  14. I know you're joking, and I would never have seriously considered actually making this a reality...but at this point I'm convinced we wouldn't be any worse off for it 😅.
  15. The disappearance of Page and Nelson is damning.
  16. Do you mind elaborating on this a bit more please Ric? I'm curious if that means all of them don't, he doesn't have the respect of the older players, he's done something (or not done something) to cause that...etc For me, he came in with all this stuff about building with the academy, having the right people in and around the squad...and then as soon as he's been able to replace them with senior players we know aren't good enough or at least willing to apply themselves, he's put them ahead of the youth showing promise. I would assume that would lose him the trust of the youth players, and potentially some of those who care the most about the club and have seen how some players fail to perform time and again.
  17. **** this bunch of players. I won't dignify them by calling them a team. The best I am clinging to is that we somehow end up managing to scrape into the playoffs, and then it's a lottery. We are really, really not good enough. And Cifuentes is so far out of his depth. Incredibly disappointing. Genuinely want to just stop taking notice for a while. Waste of energy until something changes at the very top.
  18. 12 points. They're on -6 now.
  19. Out of his depth. His initial promises haven't been kept, and despite initially seeming like he was learning from his mistakes, he's just kept repeating them and expecting different results. So disappointing.
  20. Monga, Ricardo, Ramsey on for Ayew, Choudhury, and Soumaré please. We've lost this one, but let's at least ****ing try.
  21. I'd say yes, based on the fact we have 3 strikers, 2 CMs, and 1-2 CBs we genuinely don't want in the squad, let alone starting 11.
  22. Can't see past a loss. They will bully us off the park, I'm already feeling embarrassed 😅
  23. Okay Carranza. Time to show us what you're made of.
  24. It states as such in that article too. He "signed a new contract with us this summer". We just don't know how long it is. I would guess longer term if he has been loaned out.
  25. To clarify: do you mean go for a new striker, or a new manager?
