Yes, not denying that possibility. Either way I think that they've lied, either about whether PoWs were on it or the number. Sadly hard to ever know in this war.

I think that its probably Russia lying but mistaken identity surely isn't that unlikely. Surely they'd look at the list of people they have exchanged before they publish this list of names...
  4. Also irrelevant of this circumstance which people fairly have an opinion on he's actually been pretty decent this season, is a good utility player, has taken much better to Maresca ball than most people on here expected. Whether or not you think he's a twat and shouldn't play because of that, he's a decent player.
  5. Because we don't know the circumstances yet. And his 'previous rap sheet' isn't that bad to some of us either. Most people his age broke covid rules and most under 35 people openly back Palestine in the Israel conflict. I know people who have refused to give a sample because they know the one that counts is in the station and know they are close to the limit. Its ignorant but common belief.
  6. And as I said earlier people do it (wrongly and ill-advisedly) if they think they're close to the limit and more likely to be under at the station. Ignorantly people believe that it won't be a problem if they are under at the station
  7. Well no, obviously. Was more just doubting that assessment of weaknesses. Excited about this signing.
  8. Isn't he 3 foot nothing? Surely aerial weakness

  10. Find it remarkable how many people have 100% confidence in their ability to convert alcoholic drinks from % of alcohol & volume of drink to blood alcohol level to alcohol breath level with 100% confidence. Not condoning drink driving
  11. I've posted something very similar. Whilst the law permits a limit which by its nature is hard to comprehend/know, there will be people who make errors of judgement and ultimately make a mistake. Likewise there are 5 and drive morons who are a major hazard to others. Very different.
  12. Where has this 50k figure come from? Or is it from the 'Vardy is on 140k' contract experts? Or even worse from the Metro!
  13. This is the problem though. It's impossible to actually know id you're over or not unless you breathalyse yourself, and even they aren't particularly accurate. It's something we have a law on that's based on how different bodies react to something. In an ideal world it would be zero tolerance but that's difficult because alcohol breaks down slowly in people's systems and it is regular for people to have some left in their system the morning after even a couple of drinks. Because there's a law with a bit of give in it people can legally have a drink and drive; it makes the whole thing less black and white. So, in my opinion there is a huge difference between being slightly over and recklessly driving after more than a couple of pints. I will wait to know more about Choudhury's case before passing more than the judgement I already have.
  14. I agree unless he's marginally over the limit and thinks he's big braining it by giving a blood sample rather than a breath one. I know that's not how it works but some think it does
  15. Completely agree. Fair point
  16. To be fair that is literally supporting an opinion the majority of his generation have. Think the drink driving is quite a lot worse.
  17. This is fair, I do think that it is a spectrum though and depending on where he falls on that (ie did he have 2 pints which many people drive on) is important. I like Hamza but he definitely needs to grow up a bit
  18. Restarting watching Dark and looking forward to it. Also looking forward to the new Alexander docuseries. Also, I was thinking yesterday at the lack of any good shows about pirates or naval war fiction (except Hornblower) - does anyone have any recommendations of that ilk?
  19. Not completely where it began but Blink 182 and early/mid 2000s emo got me more into music and led to what I listen to now.
  20. Can we actually do this I want to know if it's true
  21. Agree - by far our best player last night.
  22. I think you can accept part of this without accepting the whole thing. Yes there will need to be some advancement of the system, but imo some of those changes should be nuanced. And there isn't going to be a complete overhaul. I think Vestergaard should be re-signed, if only for the times we are playing shit teams (which there are plenty of), and then to be back up when our style has to have a greater shift when we are playing the top half. I actually think it's a complete no brainer.
  23. Wild observation? There's about 10 teams that invert full backs. How many teams are there in the Football League? Any vaguely possession oriented football doesn't mean 'like Man City'. In fact I'd say most teams prefer possession based but fast breaking football which works against the argument. High pressing is used more than ever (see us last night) so it is hard to understand why people are bored on such a grand scale. Or maybe you are just making a load of arguments for causality to back up an argument based purely on correlation.

I've got a Fold 4 and I love it. My friends hate it though. Still think I'm going to go SIM only when my contract ends this summer for a year or so until there is a major change.
  25. Hardly any grounds are good though and most teams still don't play like Man City. I agree that the crowd is better on a fast break etc but crowds are getting worse all the time, and no team can be breaking forward with numbers 24/7.
