Also are we convinced that people follow players to the detriment of teams?

European Super League: New proposal launched for European competition - BBC Sport That took a while... The company who backed the European Super League, A22, has launched a new proposal for men's and women's European competitions. The proposal is a league system with 64 men's clubs across three leagues with participation based on sporting merit and no permanent members. The women's competition would include 32 clubs across two leagues. It comes after the European Court of Justice said banning clubs from joining a European Super League was unlawful. A case was brought by the ESL and its backers claiming Uefa and Fifa were breaking competition law by threatening to sanction those who joined the breakaway league. Europe's highest court found against the governing bodies but said that did not mean a breakaway league would "necessarily be approved". But the ruling has opened the door for new proposals to be put forward and for clubs to look to organise and manage European football competitions. No clubs or prize money have yet been announced in the A22 proposal but an annual promotion and relegation system would be in place. In the men's competition, the top tiers - the Star League and the Gold League - would each consist of 16 teams while the Blue League, the bottom tier, would consist of 32 clubs. Fans would also be able to watch live matches for free on a new digital streaming platform.

I really rate that they've said smoother too. There's a speed bump every 10 metres where I live (SE London)

Was going to post this... How are they advertising that haha?
-
Will bump it closer to the time but if anyone ends up with a spare for this please DM me

I agree although think they could avoid being misleading. I often think the problem is that the journalist doesn't understand rather than they have communicated it incorrectly. Generally, the presentation of data is horrendous. During Covid I kept a list of all the outrageously poor uses of statistics and incomprehensible visualisations they used as it infuriated me haha. The government also were guilty of this (remember those bloody heatmaps they used).

The standard of journalism is so poor. On the BBC inflation page... Note the second sentence - obviously (the clue is in the word) falling inflation doesn't mean prices are going down. The next box under this then reads: The very next box seems to be conflating falling inflation and falling prices (which of course would be deflation if it was generalised). I often find the knowledge of any vaguely economic concepts, and even worse journalists use of statistics, to be criminal.

Ah was hoping to get tickets for this but didn't get round to sorting it out! Stadium is about 5 mins from mine haha

We went to Rome last year and immediately decided to go again this year lol. Your itinerary looks really good. Would recommend staying in Travestere in Rome. I'm really excited

I agree, but he has now been sacked: Nottingham Forest sack Steve Cooper and hold talks with Nuno Espirito Santo - BBC Sport

Assume we still need to reach personal terms, but otherwise yes that's my understanding.

Just booked flights for a 9 day trip to Florence, Bologna (1 day), Rome (1 day), Naples and Amalfi Coast in May. Well excited.

Agree - I actually think we will do well against most of the lower half/mid table teams as they will attack us and, provided we get a bit more quality in next to Vestergaard, we should be able to break them down as we do this year. But against the teams who are 8th and higher where we can't dominate the game he would get torn a new one, so need to have a proper plan B.

I've gone Daka on form. Can't believe this is the area we are weakest in though... I think Vardy still has something to give this season but has found it a bit tough going. I've given up on Nacho. No opinion so far on Cannon

Was there anything fun on the Brum forums after Mav and KDH last night?
-
Funny in that article they talk about how few touches per 90 he gets: Haaland and Watkins are either side of him...
-
I think KDH could be on for Championship POTS if we go up and he keeps up the form from the last game

Birmingham City (A) 2-3 Leicester - Post-Match Thread
bmt replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
Thought KDH looked awesome last night. Decent performance, bit sloppy at both ends -
Can't wait for some more mindless extrapolating of form tables and nonsensical overanalysis of numbers after the game

Ah didn't know that, that is good. I agree on the rest of what you're saying too. To be honest I think the main issue is just there should be more food/water, but think everyone agrees with that
-
No I don't. I'm not sure why that's relevant though; it's unlikely people would only take the minimum calories needed to survive if they didn't know when they'd next get food. Yes the picture is but the UN are saying it is a major problem so I assume it's more than one in hundreds. And I thought the aid could only come across the Rafah crossing
