Wingers get fouled more anyway. I'm pretty sure teams would rather let schlupp have time in the ball than cambiasso.

 

Well the stats say not. Fouling Schlupp means that Cambiasso can have a dead ball situation every time if that's what city decides. A foul results in a pre-planned possession for us.

Jeff has played predominantly as a winger. Cambiasso as a central and sometimes holding midfielder. It's ridiculous to compare their stats.

The fact is that a pitiful shots on target percentage and one single assist in practically an entire season is an absolutely pathetic return for a winger. I'd be willing to bet that some 85% of Jeff's passes are backwards. He often runs forward a bit, stops, turns around and passes the ball backwards, completely destroying any attacking momentum in the process. He's a woeful player and the stats do nothing to say otherwise.

I've got slated for simply displaying Jeffs stats in % form (no one else's stats note), and in the same sentance they have accused me of doing anything to defend Cambi who I never even mentioned.

I didn't start the ****ing thread just spelling it out to make the understanding simpler.

This is why I don't bother with stats. Statistics on their own mean nothing. For example if I look at our last four games 2 wins a draw and 1 loss. Surely that means we are on for Europe. Statistics need to be put in context. Like I said on another thread De Gea conceded five against us, but that doesn't make him a worse keeper than Kasper. There are some attributes statistics won't be able to measure about players performances and so they can be used as a guide but not as the definitive answer.
