AKCJ Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 Neither were penalties? To call either 'a stonewaller' is a joke.
ealingfox Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 Neither were penalties? To call either 'a stonewaller' is a joke. Clear penalty, as endorsed by Phil Thompson and whoever was on commo for Game of the Day yesterday. Vardy had Williams on toast there, Williams is nowhere near the ball and if he doesn't run into him Vards is 1 on 1, so he takes him out. Straight red as well.
ADK Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 I thought Vardy cheated as he sometimes does but the angle where you look down towards the goal shows that the defender goes into him and Vardy doesn't deviate so actually it was a penalty. As for Swansea, is it right that Oliveira should have got a penalty if he had gone down? He wasn't impeded so if he goes down he's diving and it shouldn't be given.
Number 6 Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 Both pens for me. Huth slid in and has not got the ball.Oliveira looks like he's stumbling afterwards so run was affected. Williams tackle is clumsy. Vardy is goal side. He's gone down a bit easily but there's an arm on the back. I'd be criticising any of our defenders who did that.
Bayfox Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 See both on motd twice now. Last night and this morning. For me vardy gets a nudge. Seen them given seen them not. At the other end I was convinced at the time the Swansea lad had done us a favour by staying on his feet. But looking at it. I think huth got a touch on the ball and that's why the player stayed on his feet.
filbertway Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 That was nowhere near being a peno for the "foul" on Vardy .
dedlock Posted 19 April 2015 Posted 19 April 2015 Both, for me, fall into the "I've seen them given" category. So the ref. was,at least, even handed.
