I think this guy deserves a massive thanks.

He could have so easily gone down for a penalty when 1 on 1 with Schmeichel but he stayed on his feet and Kasper pulled of a world class save.

Events like this can be the difference between staying up and going down.

I think he is man with something to prove and was desperate for goal. It would have been a stonewaller if he'd gone down.

Have to say my sentiments entirely, thought the ref missing Vardy's stonewall penalty was sh^t today.

It was honest play but I suspect more because he still had a one-on-one chance and his striker instinct will have been to score.

I didn't think it was a foul, he stepped over a leg and it didn't impede it, don't think there was any contact at all?

Have to agree with this. After Reading the comments and hearing Iwans opinion, I was expecting to watch MOTD and see a stonealler. Far from it! I think it would've been contentious. For the record, I'm not sure I'd've given one for the challenge on Vardy either.

The Vardy one was not a pen in a million years. Haven't seen a replay yet but that's the first time I've ever been at the ground and thought he tried to cheat. From SK1 it looked like he knocked the ball past his man and purposefully ran into him rather than past him, then took a tumble. I'd have killed someone if a pen was given against us for that.

I'll be interested to see it on tele tho if people legit think it's a pen, unless that's just us lot being biased.

If it wasn't in front of goal without a direct chance of a goal (i.e at the side of the box) I think he would have gone down. As someone said above, the fact he still has a chance to score has kind of forced him to stay on his feet.

Thanks to Kasper though cos that was a brilliant save.

No-one moaning about the 'starfish' that he does are they now lol

Sorry to say mate but you couldn't be more wromg about this one. He dropped his shoulder ran at pace and was completely wiped out by their defender.

If we're going to tarnish our win by suggesting things that made us lucky we should also add in the unlucky moments. Vardy incident was a red card and penalty any day of the week as well. Cancelled out, we still win, i'm still positive, bore off all you "back down to reality" bumholes trying to ruin my celebratory weekend.

Haha nice, I'll watch motd tonight when I'm home and see properly. Like I said live in front of me I was sure he'd tried to con the ref by just running straight at the defender.

Luckily it's barely even a talking point because the result was right in the end, we won. woooo.

Yeah its all about how you interpret it. Certainly see them given.

Thought the ref had a good game overall

vardy was 50/50 to me, it's one of those grey area ones, there's obviously contact but is it enough to warrant a player falling over/being put off.

Can't agree with any of that. It's a stonewall penner all day long. No attempt to play the ball whatsoever, pushes him in the back and gets his leg in front of Vardy, and sends him flying. Pretty similar to Bony on Schlupp at Man City which obviously was also a stick-on pen.

No chance he could stay on his feet with the pace he was running at and the impact imo
