weller54 Posted 23 April 2015 Share Posted 23 April 2015 Thankfully Charlie Nicholas has published an article titled "How to beat Chelsea". I am a bit more confident now, providing Nigel reads this article and follows the instructions that should be another 3 points in the bag. Thanks Charlie! Does it read.. 'you need to score more goals than they do '..The End!!...?
LCCFox96 Posted 23 April 2015 Share Posted 23 April 2015 Still 50/50 for me. 3 points on Saturday and then we have put ourselves in a good position. Until then it remains in the balance. There's a lot of football still to be played.
Lestoh Posted 23 April 2015 Share Posted 23 April 2015 Said so often now, but after our 90 minutes on Saturday are up my vote can go from 'quite good' straight down to 'pretty slim'
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 23 April 2015 Share Posted 23 April 2015 Well I hope Palace get their good form back after last weeks home defeat, need them to beat Hull, QPR I fancy will beat West Ham, I would probably take a draw for us at Burnley (slightly pessimistic I know) and Stoke are always difficult to beat at home so maybe a draw at best for Sunderland. bovril Posted 23 April 2015 Share Posted 23 April 2015 Palace are on holiday already and their new manager 'bounce' under Pardew has faded, I fancy Hull to get a win. Hopefully Stoke can do as a favour.
hackneyfox Posted 23 April 2015 Share Posted 23 April 2015 Sorry but how have we got a slim chance of survival? I think we'll be comfortable if we keep playing like we have. The past few games have brought back a winning mentality and that is priceless at this level. We have some big games ahead but I would wager that the teams will be very fearful of us. The burnley, Sunderland and qpr games are certainly double edged swords, but we are definitely better teams than all of them. We've found that winning formula and I'm confident (but by no means taking it for granted) that if we go our play how we have been that we will win and win well. Nigel... Cometh the hour, cometh the man... We've played well recently and have got the points we deserve, prior to the last few games we were generally poor and made mistakes thus gifting the opposition goals. We could easily revert to that.As for cometh the hour ..... All he's done is what most of us wanted to see, we've started closing the opposition down and he's finally been starting with Albrighton. I think we will do it but as others have pointed out there will be a few shock results from teams in the bottom 7.

st albans fox Posted 23 April 2015 Share Posted 23 April 2015 Big weekend coming up Hull could win at palace and s'land could win at Stoke. Whether they put in a performance and get anything will dictate our outlook to the end of the season.
Thracian Posted 23 April 2015 Share Posted 23 April 2015 I've been a lot more optimistic since Kingy's been back in the side - he's much more influential and in various places than many give him credit for - and he increases our scoring potential considerably. That said we've given ourselves a totally unnecessary handicap for various reasons much discussed and whatever some might think I don't see any "easy" games over the run in. What has been encouraging, apart from victories, is that we've started scoring goals. I don't think we've really committed ourselves enough to the scoring of goals - some people's idea of commitment and mine are different - but we do seem to have some balance not, a generally increased threat and the increasing confidence. That doesn't make me especially optimistic because we've put ourselves in a lottery but we unquestionably have the ability to survive at both ends and particularly now that Vardy is looking so postive, Huth is making such a difference and our most clinical non-specialist striker - and one of our best and coolest passers - is properly involved again.
