bovril Posted 19 May 2015 Posted 19 May 2015 Love Leo, but I hope he technically improves. Well technically he has improved, but he hasn't improved technically.
Guest Col city fan Posted 19 May 2015 Posted 19 May 2015 My honest assessment of Leo is that he can either look very good or very bad. When he's on the fringes of a game, his lack of pace becomes a real issue. When he's really in a game, he looks exceptional. What I admire about him is his effort and workrate. He's also a tidy finisher and can score all types of goals. Finally, like many have said, defensively he's a real asset when defending set pieces. I don't agree with those who argued he's not worth the money. All in all, he's been worth every penny we paid for him. Again, not for the first time, Pearson has made a shrewd signing in Leo and I hope he stays here. Well technically he has improved, but he hasn't improved technically.
Richard Posted 19 May 2015 Posted 19 May 2015 12 goals is a good return for any player in this league, especially a bottom 6 club like ourselves. only Austin, Berahino and Benteke have scored more than him from all the teams in the bottom half.
Grewks Posted 19 May 2015 Posted 19 May 2015 10 goals is a good return for any player in this league, especially a bottom 6 club like ourselves. only Austin, Berahino and Benteke have scored more than him from all the teams in the bottom half. And those 3 sides....especially QPR and West Brom, have virtually 1 striker.
st albans fox Posted 19 May 2015 Posted 19 May 2015 i'll judge him when he has had a full season following a full preseason under our guidance. he was never quite reaching the fitness levels demanded by our style of play until quite late in the campaign. his control needs some work but then if he's not relaxed becasue hes knackered its no surprise he has a heavy first touch on occasions
Bryn Posted 19 May 2015 Posted 19 May 2015 Think he's been a successful signing on balance. Lacks the mobility of a Bony or a Gomis and that's what holds him back but employ him correctly and you get good results out of him. He's probably the most clinical finisher we've had since Cottee, certainly since Ferdinand.
gurru991 Posted 19 May 2015 Posted 19 May 2015 I believe he has been very good value this year & I expect even more from him next year. None of our other strikers were doing much for a while there & he suffered from that.
conLAD logan Posted 19 May 2015 Posted 19 May 2015 Can see him scoring from a lot more crosses next year if albrighton is in the team from the start
Koke Posted 19 May 2015 Posted 19 May 2015 Puts in a tremendous shift. He's very limited as but I can't fault his work ethic, and he's our top scorer this season for a reason. Love Leo. He's worth the money.

Koke Posted 19 May 2015 Posted 19 May 2015 Haha. He is our least 'limited' striker. Don't know about that. Both Nugent and Vardy are more versatile and have more about their game than Ulloa. The jury is still out on Kramaric. But Ulloa has still been our best striker this season.
Narborough_fox Posted 19 May 2015 Posted 19 May 2015 His touch is absolutely infuriating at times, see Chelsea at home, but to get 12 goals in his first Premier League season is a wonderful return. Hopefully a full pre-season will get his fitness levels up there with the best in the team and he can press for longer than he currently does.
