Surprised Sunderland were at #2 for the league performance table

The size of the occasion must have had a big influence. Everyone was delighted after that game so prob started dishing out 9's and 10's. Anyone with a sensible head on would have had Sunderland near the bottom as the two 0-0 draws were awful to watch.

Only team we didn't score against this season I think, so must have done something right.

Just goes to show that actually the majority were always behind Pearson. Those with an issue just shout louder.

What about Palace? Look where they ended up in the table lol

It shows our performance not theirs, incidentally Sunderland were one of 2 teams that didn't score against us.

Collectively the Sunderland games were our second best performance of the season, which is crazy, but also indicates how hot and cold we were.

Forgot about Palace lol

That's easily done I guess. :D

Love how losing to Chelsea caused a dip in confidence. I think that draw at home to Hull was the moment a lot of people just lost all hope, me included.

Not surprised the team got the worst ratings from the two Palace games. Those were so awful.

Very surprising. Thought both sides were bang average in both games. Definitely occasion has gotten to people.

I think it can be explained by the fact we didn't lose to them. Most teams we lost to at least once so everyone automatically gave us a poor rating which drags the average down.

Fair point. Looks like just them, Everton, Burnley and Hull we avoided defeat against.

Also the context of the draw, the home game was poor, but it was our first point for a while and our second clean sheet so people focussed on our the positive of a good solid defensive performance rather than us being lackluster upfront.

It is still surprising though as I thought we were excellent in both spurs games and Liverpool games, Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal too. We really knew how to raise our game.
