Not complaining but.......

Club have been very good with new contracts. Mahrez has recently signed one, for example.

This is good for the club as it guarantees 'a floor' for the fee unless there is a 'cheap' release clause ala delph

however, every player has his price and when their head gets turned, there is generally only one outcome. Any CL side comes in for Riyad and I wouldn't blame him for wanting to go.

Probably because these players we rate so highly haven't actually proved themselves fully in a top league yet.

And to say you wouldn't sell Mahrez for £40million is ludicrous!

Seriously? I wouldn't want Mahrez to leave end of. It's not me getting the £40M so I could not care less - even if we rejected a £100M bid.

I am happy that Ranieri has brought in the right kind of players, and kept the quality players intact.

Another player, or maybe two, should finish the business, but even as we stand, I feel sure we will do ok this season.

there's been brief rumours of;

schlupp to arsenal

kasper to a few places

mahrez to spurs

vardy to villa

ulloa to palace

huth to west brom (before we bought him obviously)

then if you consider we only just bought kramaric, shinji, kante, inler, benny & fuchs, that leaves only king, morgan, albrighton and drinkwater as first team players who people haven't sniffed around. at least not "publicly" anyway.

I think I remember Everton sniffing around King a couple of years ago when we were still in the Championship - could be wrong though.

Well you're a bit mad then really because £100m to reinvest in the squad would go a long way! He's certainly not worth £40m yet.

Of course. A new contact somewhat enhances their price though.

And a CL side coming in for Mahrez? No chance.
