Incredible David Cameron story

Recommended Posts

Exactly . Agreed. It is more interesting to the general public.  Which is what it says in the article  I posted the link to.

The Mail published the story you can't say they were trying to hide it just because everybody else picked up on the pig bit. They could have just not publish the story.

Though then they'd be accused of fuelling the right wing media agenda, as they would be trying to protect Cameron. Can't win either way.

What about this story?

It's covered on the grauniad website, Rince. I can't link you to it from my phone because I have the grauniad app.

It was covered in all the papers, it was a bigger headline than the pig in the Mail but people choose to ignore it to suit their own prejudice.

I am boared of this now but this is an interesting piece. A little one sided maybe but it is nothing nobody knew already. Some won't admit it though.

So basically everyone is laughing at the scandal because he had a high level of education, the Conservatives are all rich peadophiles and only people with good education or money could ever have stupid initiation rituals to a club, or be paedos etc?

What complete horse sh*t. I've played in so many sports teams, at different levels, with people from all backgrounds, and let me tell you, there have been some ridiculous antics, one of which actually lead to me leaving a team because of the treatment of a couple of lads. That treatment came from the captain who by no means, was rich, or from the 'ruling class'.

If we are going to make yet more sweeping generalisations, we may as well say that where Cameron was educated and the club he was in was better than going to a council estate school where they all end up mugging grannies for weed money when they're 12.

If you're bored of it all (which it seems you aren't), leave it.

EDIT: If you've not read the article, you can pretty much gather the direction it will be written in given the writers bio:

Won't admit what?

That article pretty much blames everything on Cameron's upbringing and yet again anyone who is rich or not froma  council estate, you keep moaning about the gutter press, personal attacks and smears yet seem to have no problem in continuing to keep linking to that exact sort of thing.

Anyone watching Tim Farron's speech?

He's very different I'll give him that, some good things in his speech, some I agree with, some I don't, he also made sure he said he had no time for people of working age who have no interest in working, pretty big flag in the ground there about where he wants the Lib Dems to be. Housing seemed to be his number one priority.

Ironically with the two main parties coming apart I think a Nick Clegg could have been just what the Lib Dems needed about now.

Not sure what you're getting at there. I wasn't the one saying I was bored of the whole thing, then posting more slanderous articles.

(Just to cover myself slightly here) If I have previously said I've had enough of it, that article deserved a reply, it's completely ridiculous.

I did say it was a little one sided. Are you saying there is no favourtism and everything those at the top do is fair and square?

Posted

No Ken I'm not saying there is no favouritism at the top. I don't really know how or what to reply with to the rest of the post.

Fair play to DC mind, he made a joke about it on his speech today at the Carlton Club.

Posted

Just ignore the rest. I was not saying anything really. Unlike some I mind being looked down upon and treated like nothing. Respect counts both ways and has to be earned. I do not respect DC because of his attitude towards people or should I say his 'apparent' attitude.

Like the cameraman who filmed many political leaders George Bush Obama Haigue etc he said all were pleasant. He even got a five high off Obama and talked about sport with Bush. But he said he thought Cameron was rude in not acknowledging his presence Bllar Missus made him sandwiches.

It does not matter that he is a Tory. I just feel that I have nothing in common with him. The same can be said for a lot of MP's Tory and Labour. I feel the same with people I meet in everyday life.

Don't be embarrassed but you Matt are better in the flesh than some give credit for.You and Alf were a good couple together.

Maybe its time for me to shut up.

Posted

I suppose that's where we differ, I actually have no care in the World if a politician has anything in common with me, I just want them to do a good job.

Thanks for the kind words though.

Steady on, Ken, for Christ's sake! You and Matt were good company, not sure about "a good couple"!  :D

MattP - better in the flesh.

lol

That's what the pig said about Cameron, too, wasn't it?

lol what an idiot I am. Yep, that went completely over my head, I just assumed it was a spelling mistake and it didn't register.

Me and Alf could easily pass for a 2015 Fred and Barney.

If Ken's spelling mistake was a joke it went over my head as well!

It was meant to be a funny pun but was lost in the rest of the post.

Yes Matt I want them to do a  good  job but not just for me. They just be fair to all. I also like to see compassion in their actions.

I must admit, I did consider it might just be another example of Rince's Kenglish.. lol

I'm off out to my BOARD gaming club.

Not so funny second time and when its spelt correctly.

I got it, Ken!

You have a crackling time at your gammon club, now. Hope you win, loin your pockets and come back with a smile on your porky chops.

Hope the wind isn't sowing in the trees on your way down there either.
