Havnt seen a thread for the new season yet.

Who do you think will excel this year? Who has the extra depth over their conference rivals?

Who will consistently fail in a state of 're-building'?

I watched the OKC v Magic game the other night, and OKC's comeback was ring worthy, I think they'll definitely be up there in the West with Clips and GSW this year.

Golden State, Cleveland, LA Clippers and Oklahoma seem the best equipped.

Atlanta, Chicago, Memphis, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Toronto & Washington all have decent rosters but they have one or two things missing to make them contenders.

My raptors will do well this year but Cleveland is just too stacked in the eastern conference this year.

Heart says raptors head says cleveland in east. Bulls and washington should do well this year too.

Out west i think its a toss up between san antonio, clippers, OKC and Golden State.

I've always quite liked basketball but haven't really followed it for about 15 years, someone pick me a team to support and I'll keep an eye out for them this season.

After not following it for 5 or so years, I've gone for the Atlanta Hawks to get back into it this year. Purely because I liked there new kits.

That's as good a reason as any, me and you now the Leicester Branch of the Hawks fan club.

You should pick a rebuild team so you don't conform to either past titles and history, or glory support.

Milwaukee Bucks / Minesotta Timberwolves.

For past glory, avoid New York Knicks / LA Lakers / Boston Celtics

To avoid bandwagon rn avoid OKC / LAC / Raptors / GSW

I wouldnt exactly call raptors band wagon as they have never been out of the second round (which was once back in the Vince Carter days in 2000). And lets face it most americans dont give a shite about toronto seeing as we are in some sort of tundra in a distant winter wonderland thats just as cold as minnesota, chicago and newyork etc lol.

Brits should support the only commonwealth team in the nba and thats the Toroooooonnnnntoooooooooooo Raaaaaaaptorsssssss! And besides drake is the face of the team so why not lol the six baby!

Both will be exciting.

Both will always loose their stars after their first few contracts for this reason. It's cold, and they can leave and form superteams in some place warmer with more press.

They are a super little team with great speed and skill and their defence is very good. If they don't get the usual injuries they'll do very well.

Timberwolves new boy is looking exceptional.

In fact a lot of rookies are looking very good this season. Could be the best group since 2003.

I've been a Heat fan since they began - thanks to Dan Marino and the Dolphins - and I've not missed a game in about 10 seasons, thanks to the internet and pontel before that.

As always there are the likely few who'll win out but injuries are crucial nowadays and there's a long way to go in the season.

That used to me with a few teams, never have the time anymore outside football. Well done.

Just saw these this morning in a highlight... I honestly thought they were a one-off, look heinous to me  lol  ...to each their own.

I've followed the Knicks since the Ewing days due to my parents coming home with a wad of Knicks gear after a trip over to New York. This season is one of the first I've been excited about the Knicks prospects for the season (they still aren't in a position to win the big one yet). Porzingis looks like he could reach the heights Phil Jackson believes he can and more.

I used to be a hardcore Knicks fan pre-raptors. I even wrote a letter to patrick ewing as a school project and got back some generic letter from theknicks organization with stickers etc. John starks, oakley, Houston etc..thise were some badass days as a knicks fan especially against that reggie miller gimp from indiana. But when raptors came to canada my allegiance morphed to them as they were the local team. Still have a soft spot for the knicks though.

 I remember those days... When I was maybe 8, I wrote a letter to Michael Jordan with a collector's card inside hoping he'd sign it. Also got a generic letter back, but with specific Jordan memorabilia, and actually received a few more mailings over the subsequent months, must have been entered in a fan club. Also ate at Micahel Jordan's restaurant in Chicago, I was in heaven.

I just went through my Jordan collection last week while cleaning, good memories.
