For those who watched both matches, were Newcastle worse than Sunderland on opening day?

I thought Sunderland were worse defensively. Our attacking play was better against Newcastle from what I recall of the opening day

Thought Kante was MOM

Thought Albrighton was excellent unlike most on here though.

Simpson had his best performance in an LCFC shirt for me.

Drinkwater wasn't quite the world beater he was made out to be in the game for me.

Newcastle 1/10

Wonder if theres still nutters who will vote for Ranieri out

I couldn't work out if newcastles poor performance was driven out of fear of us. It was as if they had been drilled to try and stop Vardy and not get caught out by our counter attacks and had forgot everything else while they waited for the onslaught.

Kasper 7 - Had nada to do really. Easiest clean sheet he'll get.

Simpson 7 - Yeah lets not worry about the strangling thing anymore.

Huth 7 - Returning to full beast mode.

Wed 8 - Full beast mode.

Fuchs 6 - Set pieces were gash. I want him to shoot from one of these free kucks on the edge of the box. Until then, no more than a six.

Albrighton 7 - Works his arse off and even if what he tries doesn't come off, there's always two men on him now leaving space for others.

Drinky 9 - Clearly didn't give a **** who he was up against. Plays like he's 6ft 4.

Kante 9 - See Drinky.

Mahrez 9 - French 2nd tier? £400k? Unbelievable.

Ulloa 8 - Suprised at some of the negative comments. Won everything in the air, held it up well, scored and assisted Vards. Provided a physical foil for Vardy which has been lacking.

Vardy 10 - If you mark him less than a 10 then i'm afraid it's a case of chat shit, get banged.

Newcastle 1 - Embarrassing for their fans seeing that. I've not seen such a weak performance since, well, when we played them at our place last year. On that showing i'd be amazed if they stay up.

10 -

 9 - Claudio, Kanté, Drinkwater

 8 - Vardy, Mahrez

7 - Simpson, Morgan, Fuchs, Albrighton, Ulloa

6 - Kasper, Huth, Okazaki, King

 5 -

 4 -

 3 -

2 - Newcastle - needed to be just a teeny bit more abject to justify being dropped from awful to shocking imo, you have to remember they were playing a top 4 team.  In desperate need of a fit, reliable striker.

1 - Those Newcastle fans who migrated to the exits at 0-2 down with half an hour to go

I don't think you can blame the officials for not seeing the Huth incident, it was off the ball they were following play. They can't book him based purely on Mitrovic's reaction, which was ridiculous.

Jones did see it. From the reverse angle you could see Jones turned round and saw it.

Was slightly surprised he didn't book him at least. Although he did moments later for a separate foul

Not sure as i only saw it once but to me it looked like Mitrovic went to hit Huth before he turned around and pushed him, no need for retaliation though. Mitrovic is pathetic though, did a similar thing the other week in going over the top and got carded for it.

Went down holding his face after being pushed in the neck. The pathetic wet ****. Didn't he give it the big hard man talk when he joined them? I heard that he was calling Huth and Wes sir and asking where he was allowed to stand by the end of the game.
