Goal drought....

Ulloa seems to get one decent chance a game

Yesterday, Man Utd at home and Swansea away and even though we won Everton away spring to mind.

He isn't clinical enough, and Okazaki I'm still unsure as he isn't a number 10 but he won't take vardys place in the team.

Vardy and Riyad may not score most weeks, everyone else contributing is our problem.

Drinky and Kante ain't goal scorers

Our decence rarely get a chance as attacking corners and free kicks ain't our strong point.

albrighton making chances fine, a goal scoring threat, not massively consistent.

In an ideal world I'd like us to sign two top notch players to play left midfield/forward and a No 10. Preferably in January to maintain our push for a CL spot.

Vardy & Mahrez are irreplaceable for us but we rely too much on them scoring our goals. If they don't score you look around the rest of the team and wonder who is going to score for us.

I'd like to see Albrighton benched as the first reserve wide player and Ulloa, Okazaki & Kramaric sold and replaced if we can get decent money for them.

I'm very happy with eight of our first team but priority should be:

A No 10

A left midfielder/attacker

A right back.

Lots of fixtures seems to have had a detrimental effect on everyone. Not too worried just yet.

Kram must start behind Oka for the Cup though, to see if either can play those roles against an English team...

Hmm, goal drought means we aren't scoring goals?

Well it really means a prolonged absence of goals. Is 10 days really a prolonged absence?

Miss Nugent...

He scored his fair share of Goals..

Okazaki HASN'T turned out to be an upgrade!!

Nugent scored 5 in 29 (I'll include any penalties).

Okazaki has scored 3 in 16

plus Okazaki is either a sub or substituted in most of his games, Nuge started most of his.

Three games is around 285 minutes all told and if all our work on the training ground can't result in a goal in close to 300 minutes there's something wrong.

Brilliant defending? Well one team had only 10 men for a good part of that time. And we had a penalty. If you're happy, fine, but I'd be looking at why.

And, while there's lots to improve within the team itself,  I'd be starting with attitude of mind.

This is the problem, in Albrighton we have a great crosser of the ball, however we are terrible at heading the ball, we're terrible at set peices also, therefore Fuchs special throw is also ineffective. We need to play the ball to feet more often, Vardy is best running through the middle, every corner we try the same thing, which usually amounts to the keeper catching the ball. Ulloa was supposed to be our aerial threat but failed miserably at that. Back to basics and play the fast paced football through the middle which we are great at.

Fuchs's throw needs to be married to some purpose. Times I wonder what our coaches do all week. It's a potentially brilliant weapon but not if just used at random.

It's actually be easier to work some ploys off than corners but I see no signs of us having done anything.

And there we are - back to details. The details that not only win matches but offer moments of heightened hope and expectation in a match. There should be many such moments but there seem to be none.

Even penalties will emit an air of uncertainty now and that'll do nothing for confidence which is all built around belief.

Every other team has played lots of matches too and that's an aspect we should have worked on psychologically. A good manager dispels every aspect of self and collective doubt.

There's no compromise and no excuse for anything.

He tries to anticipate every potential setback and to develop philosophies to restore positivity. His team, in his mind, is capable of anything and he emphasises anything that helps him prove it.

Mahrez left wing, Albrighton right wing. Make us more direct instead of cutting in all the time where teams cut of the space

Can't see why we wouldn't sometimes do this if both are selected. So long as team-mates stay aware having some free movement in a team offers constantly differing problems to the opposition defenders. And that's what encourages mistakes.

The trouble comes when people move around and cramp the space. There needs to be a natural understanding so that as one moves inside another goes wide or when one goes forward, another drops back a bit to cover for any breakdown.
