Fox92 Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Anyone see that two-stick flag for the poor McVeigh boy (died of leukaemia aged 11) at Anfield last night? That's a proper tribute, made by and for people who genuinely cared about their Club. Stood proudly on display at the corner of the Kop. That is a far more fitting and personal display of remembrance than thousands of people clapping along without any knowledge of what they are clapping for. Class that. You've got to give it to Liverpool - even those that hate them - they are always respectful of their fellow fans.
Wymsey Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Think her family would probably appreciated donations either to them, to raise for funeral, or a charity of their choice imo.
Tom's Pasta Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 It would be meaningless, there are so many others ways of celebrating her life. I think football is seen as a shortcut to appreciating deaths just because of the sheer number of people in one place at the same time who can clap or have a minutes silence etc
The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 East Midlsnds Today now, there's a young lad who collapsed and died watching our game on TV
Liamlcfc1 Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 I think football is the wrong place for this if everyone who had supported the club and passed away wanted us to clap for them we'd be there clapping all the time I've known loyal city fans pass away and hardly get a mention
Finnegan Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 It's 18:57 and I'm sat at work with serious post-curry heartburn brewing. In memory of my heartburn please clap for a minute in the 19th minute guys.
