Addictsaddict Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 I always hear that Sheffield Wednesday are massive and could get 35k which is like saying that I could pull Scarlett Johansson, I mean technically it's possible but seriously unlikely to ever happen. I think the only people who think they could pull 35k regular are their fans and that's probably where you've heard it. They've not averaged over 30k for something like 50 years or so. However what I'd like to say is well done to you lot. Seriously hope you win the title and gives hope to the rest of us. So want you to win it over Arsenal, Chelsea. Tottenham and the like. It would be great for Leicester to do it. For the record I think the Spammers are s slightly bigger club. They've also weaseld their way into a new stadium in an area they have no right to be in and somehow got the taxpayer to subsidise it. On the back of that their support base will probably grow but here's hoping it goes tits up for them. Good luck over the next few months lads. UPA
filbertstreet Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 barcelona and real madrid are pretty big but they've never won the premier league
Fox92 Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 West Ham won the world cup though don't forget Don't get the sarcasm considering both goalscorers and the captain were all West Ham players.
Sir Shep Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 I always assumed West Ham had won the league, so in that case we are the second biggest. Plus we are bigger then at least 10 of those clubs!
Berlinfox Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 I guess it a generational thing but I am really surprised that people are suggesting that Southampton, Norwich and QPR are bigger clubs than us. For me any club thst reached the old first division after 1960 is stil a bit of a parvenu yet to realy establish themselves in top-flight. We played at the highest level as early as 1908 and have played in the first tier in the 1920s,30s,50s,60s,70s,80s,90s,2000s and 2010s. Southampton, Norwich and QPR were 3rd Division South clubs for much of their histories until the 1960s.
lestajigs Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Hillsborough is obviously massive but they only average about 21k.Sheff wed, have massive potential if they were in our possion they would be getting 40k without a doubt
Corky Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Southampton have been fairly consistent top flight regulars since for the past 50 years though, they are a very similar club to ourselves.
