Well, well, well. The rotund female has one hand on the Listerine. It is an incredible 13 months for you lot; unbelievable Jeff. I admit I'm very envious of what is happening in the East Midlands - not the proper Midlands mind - but am also very happy for Leicester. I watched live on TV as you were relegated in 2008 and did chuckle about it. I was at Twerton Park in 1991 hearing that Oxford had scored an equaliser and 60 seconds later hearing it was bollix. That was awful then and as football supporters have long memories, I'm no exception, so I chuckled. I never had much love for you lot - I remember the taunting through the fence at Filbert Street and the so-called Baby Squad. Then in the 90s Albion and Leicester then went their separate ways for a bit, and it has took us until the last couple of years to really catch up again with the majority of the Premier League. You went like a yo-yo in the last 15 years as I remember Leicester were in my youth back to the days of Mark Wallington, Larry May, Lineker, Lynex, Alan Young, Bobby Smith and Andy Peake.

However, no one would want the London media to celebrate a Spurs title win. But it's more than that - football has got some of its soul back -it is brilliant for football from all levels across the world. Ranieiri ( who we were linked with then got Steve Clark) is a great bloke. You couldn't fail to be glad for him. Then there's the soul of the team. Organised as Albion usually are, but drive and pace and confidence going forward. I admit even after the 2-3 at The Hawthorns, I never thought you'd be in the top 5/6 let alone win it. I thought we deserved a point that day. And At at the start of the season I thought you'd be in for a struggle with Ranieri - not a relegation but much as last year without the white knuckle ride at the end. After 36 years of watching football I'm glad to say I don't probably don't know that much. Obviously.

It's made me think as last March I was in the City to see Richard III's remains lying in state. I went to the museum and walked around the City. On the way back, driving round the ring road in the way to the M69, I heard BBC Leicester forum. I think it was after (ironically in hindsight) the 4-3 game at Spurs. There was doom and gloom and calls for Pearson to go. Then it started. You beat us on the way to surviving. Pearson did well - but he was as mad as a lorry though.

So from an envious Black Country, just bloody enjoy it. I will myself to an extent. I hope we can do something a fraction as good as this one day. It's great stuff.

What an eloquent and beautifully written post Mark wba. Thanks for taking the time to write it, and thanks for playing as well against Spurs as you did against us. Who knows what next season holds for you, but you should be looking up not down
