Parsons Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 The other day my ipod turned into a packet of walkers crisps
Hugo Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 It depends on what money you have to spend, if you can afford an ipod without much worry then get one, but if your stretching yourself to get one then you might as well go for an mp3 player..After all who listens to 1000 songs on the bus..I used to have an ipod but sold it , and now just use my phone which i have around 30 songs on which i change every few days or so...and the sound qualitys the same and it does me fine...Im not missing an ipod but if had money to blow then i would get the new nano which i might get in a few months
stulcfc Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 i have a mp3 player and there class and cheaper aswell i dont no any one with a ipod tho
john_lcfc Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 my mate at school has the new nano and it is amazing. colour screen and its literally as thin as a £1 coin.. it feels as though you could snap it in one go.. top quality stuff
Bert Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 Ipod's are quality. you can get a shuffle which is a 1gig and can store like 120 songs, a mini which is 4 or 6 gig which can hold around a 1000 i think or a 20 gig ipod which ca hold around 5000. theyre very easy to use and ive not encountered any problems!
Libertine Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 I've got a Creative Zen Micro which is enough for me. About 1000 songs at great quality.
Matt Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 I have one I had the 20gb one, but I was conned into buying that, the bloke in the shop I bought it in said well if you buy the 20gb one you'll get a dock and he was making out I really needed the dock, so I ended up buying the 20gb one, when you don't need a dock at all because you can just use the wires all the dock does in stand it up whilst connecting the iPod to charge/download song onto it! I love my iPod, however if I could buy something like and iPod or something similar now I would look around because as I said I love my iPod and it is very good but i'm sure there are better things about!
Anish Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 I bought an mp3 player recently and opted for the Sony Vaio Pocket - it's not as flash as an ipod but it was much cheaper than an equivalent 40gb ipod. It also has a colour screen and you can allocate a picture to each song/album which is pretty cool. I like it but it's all about personal choice. There are pros and cons with each and every mp3 player out there.
Deathside Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 an ipod is an mp3 player. I'm no expert on the topic but my understanding is that an iPod can not play MP3 files??
Shum Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 An Ipod plays MP3's Deathside. As well as playing music, you can store data on it and use it as an organiser. I have a 20GB one which I purchased from Canada and I had a problem opnce where it died on me, however Apple replaced it within 3 days under the 12 month warranty.
Hitesh Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 Everyone has an iPod so i got myself one of these.. Its nice, small, stylish, comes in a nice carry case and is 1GB which is more than enough! Holds loads of albums aswell with its compression software!
Phil Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 I have an 4GB Ipod mini love it got all the CD's Im ever likely to listen to and some. I played about with one of those nano ones earlier I could barely see the screen! I wouldn't reccomend one. why you need to look at your pictures on such a tiny screen Im not sure.
CasinoGee Posted 20 September 2005 Posted 20 September 2005 My sis has got a Sony one. It has no moving parts at all so you can drop it as much as you like.
Anish Posted 20 September 2005 Posted 20 September 2005 My sis has got a Sony one. It has no moving parts at all so you can drop it as much as you like. Cos that's what mp3 players are really for
CasinoGee Posted 20 September 2005 Posted 20 September 2005 Cos that's what mp3 players are really for Sorry, I should have said, "Oh my god, it plays MP3s". Would you have been happy then or is that not what they're for either?
rossporterlc Posted 20 September 2005 Posted 20 September 2005 i'm happy with my MD for the mo, but gettin a PSP soon anyway

Aha - I be educated now - For some reason I thought ipodz used a different file format - Maybe I'm thinking of itunez / Windows Media Player compatibility? Overall I guess this shows how highly MP3 players rate in my life I play music in the house through various PCs I play music in my car through the ICE When I travel I take my notebook with me - It has the best sound system I've ever heard on a notebook Not really any room in my life for an MP3 player
rossporterlc Posted 3 October 2005 Posted 3 October 2005 I got a 20 gig last week 'tis ace do you really need 20gig?
