eblair Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Just wondering if the club invited all the ex players who didn't complete the journey with the club to the game on saturday. Definitely think the success of this season was not in isolation and both the club and the fans should pay tribute to the players who were part of the club's recent success. Whilst they haven't played for us in years would be nice to see players like Matt Oakley, Steve Howard etc. there on saturday. And although Nugent, Konchesky and Dyer all have playing commitments on saturday, I think it would be a proper Leicester gesture for their names to be heard around the KP on saturday. Those three in particular have been crucial in our rise as a football club.I know the players have been exceptional this year, but think it should be recognised they were the culmination of an eight-year climb up the football league ladder. Might be alone, but I'd love us on saturday to show our appreciation to the players than took us to the promised land only never to touch it.
foxy boxing Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Maybe ex players and staff can be invited to events happening at the king power in the summer and beyond along with the fans, media etc
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I really, really hope Ryan Mcgivern is there! He was like an albino Christian Fuchs.
UPinCarolina Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Will players out on loan post-January be allowed to return barring game commitments?

Wymsey Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Hope Frank Worthington is invited after his struggles have been publicly revealed.
eblair Posted 8 May 2016 Author Posted 8 May 2016 was nice to hear songs for knockaert, nugent, dyer, howard, gradel etc.; proper class from leicester fans
Koke Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Speaking of ex players, it's funny how some ex Leicester players who previously never really bothered with us have decided to attach themselves to the club again. Robbie Savage, Stan Collymore, Alan Smith etc. Collymore and Smith have changed their Twitter profile pics to them in a Leicester shirt. In the last 4-5 weeks Collymore have been telling everyone on air that he used to play for us and Smith have been introduced as "former Leicester player" instead of "former Arsenal player" like he normally is introduced as.
SemperEadem Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Does anyone have a list of who came on the pitch at half time?
Wymsey Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Gordon Banks Ritchie Norman Mike Stringfellow Dave Gibson Can't remember the other 1 or 2.
