Ranitaly Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Today all the schedule on Sky sport 3 italua channel is dedicated to Claudio Ranieri.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 It's a bit weird how Italians have somehow tried to take ownership of a title win because a compatriot is manager imo. Did a load of English lads go to Enschede when McClaren won the Eredivisie with Twente? Good on them for making the trip but it is strange.

Good on them for making the trip but it is strange. But McClaren is a dickhead.Ranieri has done a lot in terms of building teams all over Italy and with charm and style to boot. They're also a compassionate bunch compared to us.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Great to see the Italians in town. Great scenes.Definately and they are more than welcomeLove Italians Love Ranieri
strider470it Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 So am I. I wish I could talk Italian. This interview with Ranieri is fantastic!! If you can find it on YouTube I'll add subtitles in English
Bevilacqua Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 It's not a simple championship victory, it's the victory of a lifetime, something unprecedented in the history of football, I find it absolutely normal to be proud of a compatriot who has achieved it.
strider470it Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Nobody is trying to take ownership of the title win. We are just very proud of Ranieri, who really deserves this in his career and we feel a great joy for you, Leicester fans and team! I'm fascinated why you would come to some post-industrial decline Midland city for no other reason. Is there a particular dearth of inspiration in Italian football or your own clubs that would instead look to another team? Did the same thing happen with Mancini at Man City? Are you just looking for a reason to get shitfaced?
James. Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Loads of Italians on the train from London. T shirts say "Monte Di Malo Presente Vicenza Italy"
Bevilacqua Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Good on you but it's still weird. Mancini at City had the best team in England, we're talking about two different stories. Ranieri did something unique.
strider470it Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 I can speak only for myself, of course, but yes I don't feel very inspired by Italian football and serie A at the moment. And speaking about my own team, when you chose to be a Torino FC fan, you know that you are going to suffer, there will never be any easy win, and for sure you are not a glory hunter. But the heart of this wonderful team, that once was invincible (search "grande torino" on Google) is still immense. And I feel a great affinity with Leicester City fans who love and loved their team, year after year, despite of any result. And now it's time to be happy. Yes this story is inspiring. Good on you but it's still weird. I'm fascinated why you would come to some post-industrial decline Midland city for no other reason. GloverFox Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 .... many, many years ago I went to a game in Cagliari (Sardinia) and spookily enough it was a now familiar Claudio there in charge (but I digress) ... what I was going to say is you really have to go to an Italian/Italian game to experience the raw passion that they have for not only the game, but everything Italian .... and I really can understand them wanting to be in at the fairy tale ending with Ranieri the Italian 'Maestro' scooping up the top English prize ... It's massive world-wide and will spin off stories and memories for years (hopefully the stories and memories getting wilder and more exciting as time marches on!) .... Great to see the Italians at Viccy park, hope they have a magnificence time and they do love to drink and party!
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 I admire them and their mentality. There is some truth in those who say this would only be achieved with an Italian in charge bring Italian tactics and Italian mentality... And of course Italian food.... Pizza anyone?
