Where can I get my iPhone 6 screen repaired for as cheap as possible?

Apple do it for £100 but all your warranty stays in fact. You can get them done cheaper at independent shops for around £60 but they use cheap Chinese replicas that are not as good and you can end up with it still going wrong and your warranty bring void with Apple.

Worth the extra money with Apple in my opinion

I'd always go back to Apple (that's a lie actually I once sent it back to Protect Your Bubble and that came back fine)

I wouldn't Go to a high street shop because I think that would weaken the infrastructure of the phone and make it more susceptible to future damage.

I don't know if your in Leicester  but I took mine to a shop on East Park Rd.

I can't remember the name of the shop but it was between St Saviours Rd

and Green Lane Rd, on the left hand side going towards Uppingham Rd.

They did a great job, fixed same day, no sign of butchery and cost £65.

Hope this helps!

I'd do it myself but then that's me. There are lots of youtube videos on how to do it.

I replaced my iPad screen 2 years ago, still doing fine. Cost me about $22 in parts plus $5 for some inexpensive tools from Ebay. I did tear a ribbon which I replaced for $5.

iPhones need a 5 star screwdriver (pentalobe) to remove the case plus plastic prying tools to remove the back. Inside the screws are #000 Phillips.

One tip is to draw out the screw locations on a diagram and tape them to the appropriate spot as some have minute differences in lengths.

For Nerds Only - This is iFixits version for a 5s but they are wanting to sell you lots of specialist equipment which isn't absolutely necessary.

PS. I am not recommending that you DIY if you feel at all uncomfortable but for those with patience and some skills it's a cheap way to go. As I said I have replaced an iPad screen and the camera on my granddaughters iPhone. Some years ago I replaced the headphone jack on my iPod. I find it quite satisfying but definitely not for the faint of heart.

I got a non-Apple repair for my son for £70 and 2 months later the whole display was screwed and had to replace the phone.  Techy mate said it was down to the replacement - short term money saving isn't worth the long term cost.  I'd go back to Apple from now and just swallow the cost (albeit the worst is the wait to get an appointment!).

I've my missus iPad and I used to buy phones with cracked screens and repair them to sell on. It really is easy but fiddly.
