New chants and songs

Ok everyone start the Melbourne chant going at Watford but expect others to look at you and sing on your own as they won't know the words. However you just ave to keep singing it and others will join in, I certainly will, we can only hope a few of us are close enough together to keep it going.

Just keep. Trying and eventually it will catch on, just need enough to convince the cool sheep brigade to join in.

Oh and personally I think this song actually sounds better when sung quite quickly which should suit the way most like to sing.

Hopefully be near you Gaz, me and Shawn are more than up for that song.

I also agree with all of this.

Just one this to mention from me... I haven't heard 'When You're Smiling' for a long time, have the club even stopped playing it before kick off? Anyway, I still think, because it actually is our song, we should sing it before every game. It might not work at home, but I think everyone could/would/should join in away from home. Why can't we make it our song again? I like going to away games and seeing the opposition fans sing their own song; Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, Chelsea, Liverpool etc all do it.

I've never seen them sing anything apart from 'we only hate Derby' and 'You used to be English'. I'm guessing one of them is their anthem.

They sing Mull of Kintyre before the game or "City Ground". But they play it so loud on the PA system, you can barely hear their fans.

Why worry about new chants until you start singing. The advantage of old chants is that maybe someone knows them and an atmosphere can be created.

That's absolutely brilliant, just a thing, we've got a chant for Marshall so would it work as well with Dave Nugent?

Think the reference is that we bring Marshall off the bench and he scores the equaliser ie away at Brum. Also until people can do the Marshall chant properly then it'll carry on sounding turd. Also David Nugent already has a chant.

Think I would prefer -

We're ****ed.

On a serious note, I do think it would be good for nugent. I think the current marshall one is good enough.
