Dave Moore was one of our own a proper city lad

its tragic he is no longer with us at the KP , a proper old school Gent , would mean a lot to his family and friends if this Sunday we helped mark his very sad and untimely passing

RIP Dave :(

His partner is a very dear old friend of mine , so many people are devastated by Dave's loss , makes you realise we have to cherish every moment because none of us know when it's going to end :(

Jeez how sad. I know there is often debate about the appropriateness of these moments of applause, but for me, if they bring a bit of a temporary smile to those who are grieving his loss, then it should just be done

Thanks for the applause today for my close friend Dave Moore.

His Girlfriend, daughter and friends were at the game today to hear the recognition of him and moved to tears.

He has been a fan of the foxes since at school and we has travelled far and wide watching them.

Whether being in the premier, championship or lowly league one.

Madrid, Vienna, and many obscure grounds in the UK he has travelled.

He had plans for the champions league and booked trips to Copenhagen & Porto and was so looking forward to them.

Such a big loss of a great man.

Story

When we launched this page just over a week ago I never imagined that I would need to write what I write next.

It is with great sadness and a broken heart that I need to inform you of Dave's passing.

After further complications whilst receiving treatment at QMC Dave was taken from us.
Dave was a fighter all the way but in the end it was all too much for his body to take.

Dave passed away last night surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

This is devastating news for the family and everyone who knows Dave.

Like a lot of you reading this now, I have known Dave for over 30 years and to borrow a couple of comments made over the last few days, nobody ever had a bad word to say about Dave, he was the most inoffensive bloke you could meet. He was at the hub of everything that we did as a group of friends and we do not know what we will do without him.

The last few days has been really difficult for the family. As you would expect from Dave, totally selfless, he was an organ donor and the family respected those wishes. This created an extended period of anguish and heartache for his loved ones.

Dave leaves behind his heartbroken Mum & Dad, 2 Daughters - Jade & Iona and partner Michelle. Sue has also been by his bedside supporting Michelle and the girls.

As you can imagine no financial plans were in place to cover this eventuality as Dave should have been around for another 30 years.

All contributions made so far will now go towards the funeral expenses.

I'm sure that all of you reading this would like to give Dave the send off that he deserves.

We would gratefully welcome further donations to the fund to help cover the cost of the Funeral.
