leicester1884 Posted 27 September 2005 Posted 27 September 2005 Just how much time do you suggest with give him?? He has been in charge for almost a year now and I can personally see NO improvement. Under his leadership we are averaging less points per game in the Championship than we ever did under Mickey Adams and the 'football' is some of the worst I have ever seen played by a Leicester side. If we continue as we have for the first 1/4 of the season then we will surely be relegated. And what is it with people who plead with us to give managers more time, that they always bring up examples of managers getting right after being given time (ie Sir Alex Ferguson) as their reason for doing so?? Have they forgot about the many managers given time who have failed to deliver the goods??

Who would you suggest we could bring into this money loaded club to improve things?

step Posted 28 September 2005 Posted 28 September 2005 We passed the ball around better than Brighton We had more possession than Brighton We created more opportunities than Brighton We played better football than Brighton We should have won last night. We simply did not score

Have they forgot about the many managers given time who have failed to deliver the goods?? Please back up your argument with facts as I did then. Name them, how long they had and why they failed!! The point is you complete numbskull at least they had the time to prove themselves. We aren't saying keep the guy even if it looks like we will go down!!
Who ate all the pies? Posted 28 September 2005 Posted 28 September 2005 What really annoys me is that most of the "Levine out" lot moaned like hell at the lack of loyalty shown by Dickov etc when they left us, but are showing the manager absolutely no loyalty now. He has not even spent a year here and people are having a go it's crazy it really is!

ferry jambo Posted 28 September 2005 Posted 28 September 2005 Levein is a n excellent manager , who time after time pulled out a top signing and great performance from the jambos. TBH it is your players who are the problem not levein. If levein gets a squad in and gets his bearings he will get you up.

ferry jambo Posted 28 September 2005 Posted 28 September 2005 All but two of the regulars are his signings though mate. surprising . at the jambos we would lose a player you thought was irreplaceable yet levein would do the unbelievable and find some not only the same better. signings he made for us included de vries - nobody ducth boy to one of the best strikers in scotland webster- fish factory worker to scottish international can't really think of anymore than 2 signings in 3 years which weren good the thing about levein is he was always a boring manager but he won. normally 1-0 or 2-1 but he lost very few games and even if he did you always felt robbed

This has been going on for nearly a year now and there's no improvement. He's bought in a whole new team now so he can't use the 'judge me when i've got my own team' bollocks that managers say. He needs to buck his ideas up fast otherwise we'll be managerless.
The People's Hero Posted 28 September 2005 Posted 28 September 2005 Have they forgot about the many managers given time who have failed to deliver the goods?? Exactly... most managers who have failed to improve the side they are managing, or getting them playing anything like good football within almost a year, never do.
Ric Flair Posted 28 September 2005 Posted 28 September 2005 bring claridge in as a coach. He scored twice for Bradford at the weekend, he's got better things to do with his time than to come and coach a bunch of mongoles.
Sir JJ Wilcox Posted 28 September 2005 Posted 28 September 2005 Bring him in as a fecking striker then
Babylon Posted 28 September 2005 Posted 28 September 2005 better things to do with his time than to come and coach a bunch of mongoles.

Levein MUST budget for scoring two goals mimimum and preferably three per game. Told him that in August yet he goes into the season with one proven striker and doesn't have sufficient confidence in the other one to play him from scratch.
leicester1884 Posted 28 September 2005 Author Posted 28 September 2005 TBH it is your players who are the problem not levein. If levein gets a squad in and gets his bearings he will get you up. And who is responsible for signing 14 of our current squad??
