We could go anywhere from lying about Amal Clooney's mother being against her marriage on the basis that she wasn't supposed to marry 'an outsider', to lies about gay police commander Brian Paddick's drug use, blaming women for the existence of autism, saying that disabled people are exempt from bedroom tax, that disabled babies were being euthanized under the Liverpool Care Pathway, that a Portsmouth primary school had denied pupils water on the hottest day of the year because it was Ramadan, that nearly half the electricity produced by windfarms was discarded, even that wolves would soon return to Britain.

 

Honestly we could go all night with this stuff.

It's about a constant drip drip drip of this sort of stuff in my opinion. Particularly leading up to the EU Referendum. I think the 'Enemies of the people' headline was the breaking point for some people and probably why this has started.

 

I don't expect them to always be accurate, i do expect them to be responsible in reporting and not run things that have no basis of fact though.

Do you seriously need evidence that it's liberals driving the movement that you call progressive in tolerance etc and I call damaging to liberal values? Black lives matter is a liberal movement, third wave feminism is a liberal movement and many more, all of which call for changing the way people talk, act etc etc

I don't read the papers, but having read all those headlines I now suddenly feel a need to hate everyone and everything. Especially Muslims and Imigrants for some reason. Those darn pesky papers 'making' me feel a certain way.

I don't lap it up and believe it. I don't even look at those stories. I go on the Mail online to see women from Towie in bikinis and read the odd opinion piece. Newspapers aren't for the news any more, people get that from TV. It's entertainment and opinion. I buy the MoS for the columnists, the sport the crossword and the sudoku . Sometimes I agree with what it says and sometimes I don't. I don't need papers to tell me what to think.

I've just told you there isn't. Only 130k between them. There more people from each of Ireland, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Germany, France, Poland, Jamaica, USA, Kenya, Australia, Italy, Nigeria and Sri Lanka than there is from those two combined.
