Tommy Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 Ryan Smith Transfer News - OS N.B: Would have quoted the whole the whole thing but it wouldnt let me
Ric Flair Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 Very, very impressed with this. I saw him play against us last season for the reserves when they beat us 4-2 and him and that Lupoli ripped us apart. Very interesting. Craig's obviously had his collar felt.
Libertine Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 Wow. Didn't see this coming. Nice one CL, hope he's good.
The People's Hero Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 He's a winger. I wonder where CL will play him. My money is on left-back. Or perhaps in goal.
Tommy Posted 29 September 2005 Author Posted 29 September 2005 One of the most promising youngsters on the Arsenal books in history apparently. Perosnally a left-sided winger, is what I feel we'eve been missing, lets hope the lad does the business.
Mark Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 Arsenal fans were raving about this lad a year or so ago, i think i saw him once for Arsenal in the Cup and he was dribbling it round everyone. Didn't he suffer a major injury last season? GET IN

Ric Flair Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 I don't want to sound like i'm getting too excited but this lad was hotter than some moody gear against us last season. The £25 ticket against Derby could well be worth it now, i've been dying to see us get a winger for 15 years.
The People's Hero Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 Maybe this is a change of approach from Levein because he seems to favour keeping things narrow and scraping nil nils/one nils etc. Are we about to see a new attacking chapter in Levein's reign. Or has this guy been brought in just to keep the fans quiet, other teams guessing and the bench warm?
TornadoShaunUK Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 apparently he isnt allowed to play for us in the carling cup - that's part of the deal.
Thracian Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 Hurray, hurray its a holi-holi-day. A vital cog in the wheels. Light in the tunnel. Now, for God's sake have the confidence to play him. Don't wait for three weeks. And play Sheehan. Hopefully we'd have the basis of a proper side then along the lines of: Henderson; Stearman, Nils, Dion, Sheehan, Hughes, Joey, the Ryan Express; Hume, Hammond, MDV. subs: Sylla, Tiatto, Gerrbrand, Chambers or Porter, Kisnorbo.

From the interview I heard with Levein the other day he seemed well hacked off with things, so perhaps he's though **** it i'm gonna go for it Ozzie Ardilies stylee. 2-3-5 come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mark Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 "Leicester City hope" <_< City boss Craig Levein said: "Ryan is a young player with bags of potential who needs first team experience. He is a winger who can play on either side with plenty of pace and ability and I am sure he will excite the Leicester supporters." Well i'm gonna get excited by this. Wingers is a major problem for us, we're always playing central midfielders out wide to come infield. Levein will stick with that, but Smith Joey Williams Hughes looks good to me.

Hume's in twice? Great news, he might score now.
Thracian Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 Hume's in twice? Great news, he might score now. Told you I rated Humey

Personally if we had everyone fit and Smith signs I can't see how we can't win atleats half of our games. By christmas hopefully this is what it can be Douglas Stearman Gerrbrand Nils Sheehan Hughes Wesolowski Williams Smith Hume Elvis Subs: Maybury, McCarthy, Gudjonsson, Sylla, de Vries. I hope Smith starts on saturday, it could be a good'un.

Rugby Fox Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 Cov reserves play down the road from me and i went to watch them v Arsenal - Ryan Smith was on the left wing and he had a cracking game... Well done Levein!
