You talk about the usual suspects under performing or in transition last season, as if all the top teams are performing so much better this season, and yet we lost only 3 times last season, Chelsea, Spurs, and Man Utd have already lost 3 times this season with 13 games still to play, Man City and Arsenal have already lost 5 times. Just because you spend shit loads on players in the summer, don`t mean you become a better team the next season, as we know only too well. Only Chelsea have massively improved this season from last season, the other usual suspects are only performing slightly better than last season. The footballing media and pundits are going on about how much all the top teams have improved, purely because there isn`t a Leicester or the like, that has gatecrashed the party, and burst their bubble. Make no mistake, had West Brom been up there in the top two or three, those same people would be going on about how the big clubs are still not performing and are still in transition. They were saying all that last season, as It was their way of taking some of the credit away from us. It`s a shame that we have Leicester fans that feel the same, and are willing to say that we won the league by default, which is what those football snobs in the media and the so called expert pundits are really trying to say. It`s ok though, if you want to take away as much of the credit as you can away from Ranieri, then that`s your opinion, and your`e entitled to do so. Personally though, i will be thanking him until i draw my final breath, that he managed to mould what was a team of hard working journeyman footballers in the main, into a team that won the premier league. My club Leicester City, won the bleeding premier league, and however this ends, nothing is going to take that away from me. The memories are there forever in my head, and if i ever start to lose my memories in my old age, i will have those same memories on you tube videos and on shit loads of dvds that i made last season. Ranieri whatever happens from here on in, and as i have said elsewhere, with a heavy heart i feel he has to go, will always be regarded as a true legend by me, as the man that made my club the champions of England, and gave me the season of my life. Sorry but you've regressed to the mean. You are on a low ebb for sure, but if your fans didn't completely over react to it you'd probably have a better chance of survival." A lot has happened in 2 ****ing years! It is like clubs shouldn't have any ambition just because we are called Leicester. If we were playing like this two years ago I'd be convinced we were heading down anyway so that point is void. I'd be less angry as we'd a newly promoted side, granted still frustrated. I don't get why people are so fixated on drawing up these fake scenarios either. I'm talking of this current scenario. What's the current scenario? A contender for genuinely the worst Leicester side I've seen. Pound for pound it's the worst probably ever. No fight, no quality, can't defend, can't attack, can't hold the ball, no organisation, no structure, no consistency in anything other than the failings of all previously mentioned. A truly dreadful side that will be lucky to win again this season. But we should roll over and accept that because like I say, we're a nation of unambitious losers.

We all remember the 5-3 win over Man Utd earlier in that season, but how many heard the interview with Shakespeare on radio Leicester before that game, where he said that the players had been to see them, and asked if they could really give it a go against United, because they thought they could get at them. So that fantastic attacking football that we played on that day, was played that way at the request of the players, not because of a Pearson tactical masterstroke. Sadly after that game, the players were obviously told to go back to the "stay in the game", lose 1-0, 2-1 tactics For most of that season, we weren`t getting tonked, because we were so negative with our "we have to stay in the game" tactics, tactics that seen us bottom of the table for three quarters of the season. A tactic that seen us have one shot, and that in the 90th minute away at Southampton, a tactic that seen us lose at Swansea, with a performance that was 10 times worse than the one last week, a tactic that seen us draw against a 10 man Hull at home, when we barely had a shot, in what we thought was a must win game at the time. In fact we still had 4 points fewer at the same stage of that season than we have now! Funnily enough, seemingly many of those who were mortified at the prospect of Pearson being sacked, despite us being 4 points worse off at that stage of that season, were among the first to want Ranieri out! Strange that! I do think that Ranieri needs to go now, and it really saddens me to have to say that, but some of the bile and damn right nasty comments that have been thrown at him on here from some fans, has been a disgrace, because while it is true that most of the squad were put in place by Pearson and his staff, there is no way that we would have won the league last season, with any other manager in charge than Ranieri. For that we should all be eternally gratefull to him, i know i will! Great post

But lineker hasn't been acting like this is where we belong, which is the complaint with other pundits. The Guvnor Posted 20 February 2017 Posted 20 February 2017 Of course there will be divided opinions on this forum, some really passionate explanations of why we are underperforming this season and others equally passionate and indeed fcuking angry at how we can degenerate from such a well organised, tenacious, hungry group of players to a team which can't pass, can't defend, have virtually no shot's on target never mind score, can't communicate and a Manager who looks a broken man. Shifty evasive awkward interviews from Kasper and Danny suggesting there is something intrinsically sour at the club . No matter how much of a sentimentalist you are fingers have to be pointed and unfortunately the buck stops with the one person who is supposed to be able to pick up and motivate the team, make the right match day choices, be tactically aware, know your fcuking players and see how they are performing on the training ground. I would suggest that this season that basic Managerial quality has been at best questionable.
foxy boxing Posted 20 February 2017 Posted 20 February 2017 as Leicester fans we clearly expected a downturn from last season but to be this bad! no way!. I would have been happy with mid table obscurity but this rubbish is unacceptable and can not be allowed to continue. we need to stay in the Premier league or kiss goodbye to our top players who yes I know haven't been performing this season.
