I'm in two minds what to do...buy PES5 for my PS2 or 'obtain' PES5 for PC for free?? :S

My mate has it already, its a copied CD god knows how but we've just been playing it for about 3 hours I'm going back there in a minute. I am going to fail my degree because of this game it's superb.

As I am sure you are aware, this item was mispriced on the HMV web site at

£14.99 for a short period of time. Under the notified terms and conditions on

the web site, HMV are entitled to withdraw from any contract in the case of

obvious errors or inaccuracies regarding the goods appearing on our web site.

However, as a gesture of goodwill, on this occasion only, we are going to honour

order placed for the item, but will be restricting this offer to one per

customer.

Therefore, please note the following:

o If you have placed an order for more than one unit, your order will now be

reduced to one unit

o If you have placed more than one order under the same email address, then

only one order will stay active, and all subsequent orders will be cancelled.

From a legal point of view, I doubt they could have withdrawn that offer anyway (to those that bought it).

I remember a while back that Argos (or some other big retailer) was selling a TV or something else online for a ridiculous price, £2 of something like that. In that case Argos were entitled to cancel all orders because the price was so clearly a mistake and any reasonable person would know that the price was wrong.

In this instance, it would be difficult for HMV to justify that the price was ridiculous to the 'reasonable person', because although it was cheap, it wasn't exactly a steal. There are games out there that cost £14.99 so HMV wouldn't stand much ground legally.

Yep you're right. My dad saw a top of the range digital camera on a website (might have been PC World), and were selling it for £99, missing the first digit off. They had to sell it at that price.
