AKCJ Posted 28 April 2017 Posted 28 April 2017 Manager confidence down 12% after a late, unfortunate own goal away against a side we've not beaten in the Premier League for 25 years?

Think its because people view the tactics as Ranieri-esc but we nearly got a good result all things considered. If before Ranieri was sacked we were offered all the points we currently collected plus one more for a 0-0 at Arsenal im sure everyone would have accepted. Its a shame we didn't get a result on Wednesday but Arsenal and Tottenham are write offs in my books and while yes as it is a write off it meant we could have gone all out attack but im sure losing by 1-0 is better for moral then another 4-0 loss which may have made the players doubt themselves and Shakespere.

I don't think that a more positive approach would necessarily have resulted in a 4-0 loss. By offering more of a threat we might have restricted the free licence they had to attack. Personally I'd rather have gone down fighting 3-2 than timidly submit 1-0. For example, I preferred the Everton performance to this. I do acknowledge the heroic defending and that it nearly worked to produce a point that I for one would have accepted as a good result, but I just hope this isn't our style going forward.
shen Posted 29 April 2017 Posted 29 April 2017 Okazaki and Drinkwater worse than Ulloa? Gray half a mark better than Mahrez for a 3 minute cameo having done nothing of note? Fuchs MotM tells me how much people have rated based on sentiment here...

Not sure why people don't give players N/A when they're on for a minute.

Mease Posted 29 April 2017 Posted 29 April 2017 Not a million miles away. I was questioning my low scoring of DD as some said he had a good game but seems the majority agree, not ragging on him he needs a rest body and mind I reckon. Fuchs was always going to get MOM but Benny was top of the shop for me, aggressive and great on the ball.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 29 April 2017 Posted 29 April 2017 Unfortunate result, but some plusses. Danny Drinkwater should never have been picked, as he had yet another shocker1
