polar98 Posted 30 August 2017 Posted 30 August 2017 Just seen on SSN that Jordy Clasie has joined Club Brugge on loan from Southampton. This reminded me of the time when Ranieri admitted that he wanted to sign Clasie but it didnt work out, and ended up with a certain N'golo Kante (second choice). We also wanted Aranguiz but he opted for Leverkusen and then went onto suffer a serious injury. We got Inler and Kante - but it could so easily have been Aranguiz and Clasie. Not saying inler was a good signing, but he might have been in the dressing room. Things could have been a lot different, it was a hugely impressive effort that saw us crowned champions, but we could have easily been in a relegation fight had we signed Clasie and not Kante. Luck was definitely involved
