Golf - can’t get my head around going to a place where you dress up in ridiculous garb. I view them second only to Morris Dancers with regards to looking stupid in a leisure activity.

The reward for a few hours of golf is having a big dinner and a few beers in the clubhouse, after spending some time unintentionally damaging the grass and losing half a dozen balls..

Trousers, shoes, shirt with a collar and maybe a jumper if it's cold. A cap to keep the sun out of your eyes and tailored shorts if it's hot.

 

It's fine to look smart and presentable doing a leisure activity so what's so ridiculous and stupid about that?

That's what it's all about.

 

Golf is just a social activity and a good walk for most of us.
