Thank God the Saudis are out of the tournament. What a load of rubbish.

The only plus side is I’ve won another both teams not to score bet. The bookies have got these right btw. The odds on both teams TO score have been longish

They’re awful to watch, mainly as there’s not an awful lot of substance between a top centre back pairing and a top strike force, and they rely on those four to win games. 

 

if they end up playing Portugal in the round of 16 it’s gonna be a proper stinker.

Uruguay are my dark horses to do well. Defensively they’ll ship very few and the two up top will only get better.

That occurred to me, too. Both Portugal and Uruguay were awful to watch today from what I saw.....I'm thankful that I couldn't watch either match in full. 

 

Unfortunately, I can see one or both going a long way, as always happens in World Cups - some bunch of cynics making the semis while stinking out the competition and winning 1-0 from a set piece or on penalties after a dour 0-0.

Just preparing myself psychologically....

I had that with barce/real/atletico at least 2 of the three are mildly entertaining teams to watch
